Real problem right now is the time delay in PCR in confirmation of infection for a virus moving this fast. Also in potential to become infected during that time.
Surgeries, care homes, pharmacies, hospitals would all seem to be potential targets.
I'm also interested to see if they can make something out of the likes of commercial shipping/cruise/offshore. Sports. Remote work sites, etc. (Testing those travelling to such sites, ships, etc just prior to embarking so your operation doesn't get f'ed up.)
But yes ref travel popping into pharmacy or wherever for a quick lamp test a much less stressful option time wise especially now some destinations want within 48hrs.
I happen to suspect there's something in the pipe right now but that's just an opinion
Testing will be here for years... as long as Budd's device can detect all new variants we will be fine... look at places like Australia and Austria for that matter... they wont be letting anyone in without PCR's
Bojo is giving us a few months off before the next variant drops... another 2 viruses here before the summer so some chap from WHO reckons.
The best market at this point would be airports/airlines surely? Just because our restrictions are easing it doesn’t mean other countries are going to
Whether budd could pull that off is an entirely different conversation
Just want to say, you all can sell and move on, it wont bother me in the slightest. I don't value ramper or de rampers if there is such a term. I am here to make money (have traded this stock very well), and I think all covid stocks were driven down to this day when gvt was to announce relaxing rules. Diagnostics stock should tick up as there is no more bad news to come (I think). You buy or sell is up to you. I have a lot of free shares here and have added a few today, let's see if I end up losing some of profits I made with GDR or gain even more. Best of luck to each and every one of you in whatever you decide;-))
Please look up "literally". Aside from that, I agree. Imagine 1 device in each doctor's surgery - how many dooctors' surgeries are there? Feckin' loads. And hospitals. And care homes. Catch my ship?! :)
This whole new found freedom Bojo is promising is just a distraction away from his antics and a poor attempt at trying to win over the British public with good old bulldog spirit.
Last time they relaxed it when the Students went back to UNI in Sept... they literally wet themselves as it spread like wildfire again and re introduced draconian restrictions... so it was either complete BS from the Gov for the last 2 yrs or this terrifying..deadly.. all consuming virus which cost the UK $£400b... has miraculously just disappeared... or they have realised its just not as bad as they thought it was for 99.9% of the people.
Testing will remain, even if only to keep an eye out for deadlier variants
Another false Ip set up by one of our ‘residents ‘ in the endless quest to mislead. All should press the appropriate button.
I already spoke to the company about this. They confirmed this will not be used in an airport setting. Where do you expect the airport will hold thousands of people while they wait their results? Even if it is only 15 minutes? How many 1000s of units do you think the airport would actually need? It simply won’t work in this kind of setting, a hospital maybe for doctors but not an airport.
Well hello, did you just make that new account AND username to post that?! lol
(The answer is that molecular testing for covid is for clinical diagnosis and for industries where infections can be very damaging and expensive. If you get your head out of the daily rags you'd realise this industry has years ahead of it)
Nonsensical post, there is a hugh market for POC all over the world so they can sell globally. When you fly many countries require PCR before travel.
If come next month you do not need to isolate even if you are positive what need will their be for a test? No one will want POC, even if they do it will be the odd unit here or there. If anyone wanted is a distributor would have been in place already.
Hearing loss test is the only thing going for this company now and that’s small change for the next few years. I can see 10p in the next few reading sessions.
