I'm still bearish on this. Operating loss of £6.4m overall. Looks like they only had about 6months of cash left at year end, then £1m convertible loan post-year end, so presumably they'll need to do a new fund raise soon?
Cash at year end: £2.7m
Cash burn 12m = 2.7-3.3.-4.0 = -£4.6m
Explain why the results are not great ? i think with all thats happened, they are ok, pretty much what was expected, hence the price hasn't dropped through the floor , which i would imagine would suit your agenda hey shandy, but no doubt shandy will tell you other wise..
Even during lockdown making money. Only way is up.
Bob - yes they are open but there is still social distancing restrictions within indoor venues.
Not only that some people are reluctant to do things whilst these restrictions are in place. June 21st is a big date for all indoor venues - if this date gets pushed back it clearly won't help. That's my point.
Incidentally who is the ESC target market? Those who haven't had the vaccine. What is in the news this morning - all about the need for a vaccine to counter the Indian variant.
Supposedly retail footfall was lower yesterday than the week before - maybe your general comment that people have had enough of lockdowns is a wish rather than a fact.
Results not great today, no doubt bob will tell us this is old news etc

Keep up shandypants, all sites reopened today, not the 21st of june, thats for large gatherings, and as for sentiment, people have had enough of lockdowns, and want to get on with their lives
Nice bit of publicity for us today on sky news!!

this won't help reopening or general sentiment regarding indoor activities.
Let's hope it can be kept under control
so keep on taking the opp.
May 17th is a Monday, I would imagine weekends are already booked up, it will be extremely busy end of May during the school holidays and then again very busy during the school summer holidays as families will look to do “days out” as many either can’t afford an expensive Cornish break or still worried about going abroad, I think the corporate bookings will be interesting to see as well as companies return and look to do some very overdue team bonding and social events
coming soon.
checked a few locations near me (Manchester) and all seem to have loads of free slots available to book.
Don't think May 17th will see people queueing round the block for this one. May need to wait until later in the summer to see significant numbers.
Outdoor games now opened in both sites in Birmingham according to Escape Hunt.
People will come from Northampton, Oxford, Cambridge, Leicester and surrounding areas.
MK is getting bigger & bigger.
Great to see a local one opening up near me, this company is the market leader in what’s becoming a very popular pastime, how many other leisure companies have expanded during a lockdown? Great BOD and some very sharp investors, love the way they came up with alternative games during lockdown, good to see the corporate accounts now open, this is going to be huge not only can you just head there as an office but globally you can play online with clients, other branches around the world, this company has huge prospects and just like this morning I will continue to buy more for my pension as we head towards a £1
New sites Kingston and Watford = more revenue
from morning yesterday at 48p makes 45p to buy on open very attractive.
Good morning.
Loads of interest here strong sp
to buy.
- Companies using ESC for corporate team building activities as WFH + Office may become more of a permanent fixture.
- This summer - holidays are likely to be UK-centric, beneficiaries will be high street and UK leisure activities including ESC who have taken up a number of high visibility shopfronts in prime retail property (probably the only leisure focused company who was expanding during lockdown )- taking advantage of cheap rent / rent-free prime property leases).
- Pent up demand of friends / families / children birthday parties
Yeah - I reckon it's going to be a hot re-opening for ESC.
One
There's a little way to go before we get that distance.(fingers crossed).

43p paid.
I must admit I saw this before the big rise and was scared to go in on a stock that had risen so much already which is against my usual system for investments, but I have read so many quality people raving about this stock and saying that it still has a lot of upside, I decided to join the party. Only time will tell if this was the correct decision. Good luck to all those invested.
