There are two words that make me laugh....
Dish and hypergrowth
Art expected too much, too soon?
Read the prospectus Monty!
.
Thanks stix...despite ART's rudeness to me I do find his input to this bb useful and in many cases fair enough...My only criticism is that he is expecting too much too soon ..the company's wording of hypergrowth was inappropriate at this stage..I think they have learnt their lessons hence no more targets and fewer RNSs..update via Twitter where necessary..I'm happy to let the company develop at its own pace knowing that Sanj is behind the wheel, so to speak.
Good to see you back Monty ! bring some realism back to this BB .
lets see what the next couple of weeks brings !
Yes, I know how sales jobs work.
The TM will say to Sanj 'I can't call on restaurants and offer a worse range of discounts than this other company' and Sanj will have to speak to Aidan and co. in Manilla and they will have to acquiesce.
I've been through it before myself, many times, and to be quite honest it's a positive move anyway as already the Midlands and North East restaurants are clearly making a statement by not offering any discounted seats on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and even some weekdays. The discounts and booking window should never have been changed in the first place from the original version which is all still there on BigDish Manilla.
Their Twitter said "soon"..so London and Manchester will be anytime "soon"..not necessarily Monday
Let's see what Monday brings... :)
Seems like that could be the plan with the Website and App being Upgraded at the same time London and Manchester are to be launched
Art, who is the director at bigdish that u know ?
Jsmith, volume doesn't have to happen every day..they could onboard many restaurants and go live in one go
Well it looks like mms have roped in a few more suckers into buying this week.
Dear Scottman and your acquaintances,
I understand you are worried, and even though you may not be invested in BigDish you care enough for the real investors, so much so that you are willing to give your free time to help us out. :)
First of all thank you so much from us all for caring so much. :)
Second of all I would love to ease your worries with some positive views and facts, yet from experience we know that you care so much that you just can’t except them. :)
So thirdly, although you won’t listen to us, you do always listen to your old King Applesauce, so I thought I would remind you of his posts from just 4 days ago. I hope these words of wisdom can ease your anguish for the rest of us. :)
APPLESAUCE 16/09/2019
I sobered up!! Its been 3 hours since my last drink.
Its obvious confidence is returning and can definately see Dish is in place now to move forward.
Before you know it Dish will have 1000 restaurants and that will definately take the interest of the ones with big wallets.
Lazarus, give it up. Even I can see the potential of this company now.
I agree with you. A strong buy. Share is definately going to 5 or 6p in the very near future. London fir sure will take Dish into double digits imo
Looks like Dish could be on the move up again.
Interesting times ahead .

Again, thank you so much for your loving concern. Peace :)
ART has very right, its been a bad week no progress, TM's been paid to do what, sales is about volume where is the VOLUME?
At the end of the day Discoeat have a better app
Sorry, that should read 'adding Google reviews'................................
Yes, it looks like they've come across Discoeat in London already. I've done sales jobs and I know how it works.
The TM calls on a restaurant and the manager/owner listens to the pitch and then says 'we have that already'. The TM says 'you couldn't have, we are the only company doing this in the UK'. The owner then shows the TM the Discoeat app. The TM goes to Sanj and says ' I thought you said we were the only company offering yield management in the UK'. Sanj says. 'we are' and then gets shown the Discoeat app. Sanj then contacts Aidan and co. in Manilla. They all look at the Discoeat app. Then it's just a case of comparing them and comparing the different features. If you have the best app and deals then you don't have to do too much; if you have the worst one then improvements are in order.
The Discoeat app has Google ratings and is very smooth, hence the BigDish tweet about adding Google ratings and doing something to speed up the app. They should also have noticed the better range of discounts, which the restaurants need, and the longer booking period, which the customers will prefer and I am hoping these changes will happen soon too.
I think the TM's will find it much easier to sign up new restaurants if the managers/ owners can set their own discounts from 10% up to 50%, especially in the MIdlands and the North.
Great. That's saved me lots of time as I was going to spend half the day getting an email off to one of the directors who is based in the UK and who I know would take this seriously and pass it on to Aidan and co.
Anyway it looks as if Sanj and the London TM's have come across Discoeat by now. Discoeat have a Google ratings system on their App so something similar is a good idea. Also they will have seen that Discoeat restaurants offer a much better range of discounts which makes the restaurants more than happy to offer tables to customers all day every day that they are open. This is the future for yield management in the restaurant business and not restaurants putting the "No seats available" sign up.
Let's hope that "major improvements to the website" will include adding back in the full range of discounts and going back to a 2/4 week booking period.
After seeing that 13 out of the latest 27 new restaurants are not offering any seats at all today, let alone tomorrow, I was just about to communicate with the management about this. After reading the latest tweet I will hold back for a short while and see what their "improvements" are. If they don't involve these two important changes I will get in touch with them.
BigDish IR:
The Manila team has been busy. An iOS update will be available within days which will include google reviews integrated into the app and other improvements which will be the foundation of improving speed. Major improvements to the website also coming soon #bigdish
