Ed C - we do not know each other, lets keep it that way. If you don't like what I sayyour call. Meanwhile the SP is minus 66% YOY, XBI minus 30% so I am not allowed to call that out?
Ahhh £$ conversion that answers it
How is it possible to be 20 m in the half year report and 28m in the January report that seems strange
FPTP - Interesting appearance on the chat board. You would surely better be named ‘emperor’s new clothes’. You remind me of someone who used to post here. No relation I am sure. Good luck with your filthy propaganda.
Do you not read the company published information:

FPTP... well spotted!!! Yes, I am uneasy when 4D is going through a perfect storm of distressed seller tanking the SP and then having shorters piggyback on that trend driving the SP even lower.
So my attack would be on anyone pretending like shorting biotechs with promising life-saving treatments is the same as shorting a cinema chain or an entertainment company on FTDE100. Because yes, tanking SP does affect SME biotech's ability to deliver which is precisely the reason I started this thread - as people don't seem to understand the impact a tanking SP might have on a small innovative company.
One big fund getting involved would change that, just hoping it arrives sooner rather than later !!!
Good luck with your investment and your agenda, whatever it is. You are right about only one thing... I need to do some work this morning and this is really distracting me.
To be fair I was more than surprised at your attack, as previously I regarded your posts I presume this reflects the unease at the current situation.
What results do you believe are missing?
FPTP... I have not actually accused you of being paid by anyone, someone else has so please vent your anger elsewhere. It's quite telling that you have nothing to reply that is constructive and have to resort to personal attacks.
People know me on this board as a loyal 4D investor and someone who really believes in microbiome research and what this company could achieve if trials do continue to provide good data. That is based on my research and due diligence, not sure if you have done any research into it or you are simply looking at the recent SP trend.
When several people appear on this board, simultaneously, with relatively new LSE accounts - and start professing doom and gloom (and some openly declaring themselves shorters) I feel under attack by people trying to ruin my investment. Surely, as a holder, you must do to? :)
Let's leave it here... I am sorry you recognised myself in your comments (wonder why you would) and before attacking me please do read my posts.
Funny you should pop up - been keeping your head down
Seems quite rude to appear out of nowhere making lurid accusations against a long term poster on the board who many here have come to get to know.
You have just destroyed any credibility you may have had.
Still waiting for an answer as to what results you feel are missing.
PG - I never even suggested anyone should sell. I am invested but now very unsure of the management and their moves to me seem very personal and defensive. I believe I am more that entitled to air my views just as you have done many many times before. Are you on the payroll of someone for gain - seem to post a lot?
Shorters... close your short or you'll go homeless .
Mcap of 4D now under $100m (£73m)... it's enough for one fund to go in big for you to wake up, look at your trading account and realise you'll be eating baked beans for the rest of your lives.
You have been warned.
Looks like the shorters need to start buying back those 6.5m shares on loan & need holders to sell.
What results do you feel are missing?
I think it is 17 January 2022 here - no results/ big options & further SP depreciation but you are in April! - Whats it going to be in April?
40 could be the lowest point very tempted to buy big
So - who do you think?
FPTP - it must be April Fools or on whose payroll are you?
This share has been shorted for 12 months. The latest incarnation since late Oct has had HFT alogbot trading in play & that the main difference. Shorting has absolute no place outside FTSE 350. Its a play to fleece retail investors.
In most instances shorting is deployed versus companies with good prospects. We have the overlay of Oliveira & the shorters are sat on that singular coattail. A very large distressed seller which has place natural down pressure, so hey Mr shorter we apply more pressure to that underpinning.
Its nothing more than that in a news void.
FPTP... again, thank you for joinging LSE just to come to this board to tell us we should sell, especially since you are presumably not holding 4D at the moment and you are doing doing this purely to help us. Wow.
If you are happy to bury your head in the sand be my guest.
FTPT... if that makes you sleep better just keep saying that to yourself. Shorting companies who are developing life-saving treatments is deplorable. And if you have been told this story by someone and you are believing it because it's easier that way to live with yourself - think again.
By shorting biotechs you are preventing them from securing further finance as you are contributing to SP volatility and making it difficult for anyone to approve investment (finance companies clearly want stability)
And no, shorters haven't got a clue about what they are shorting and why - and whether the science behind a biotech they are shorting is sound and potentially life-saving. They look at technical analysis and decide to profit on the back of a current sentiment (in 4D case this started with a distressed seller causing a sell-off)
So please spare me your 'conscious/ethical shorter' narrative. You know it's not true so please let's not go there. I hope you don't get to a situation where you are regretting shorting life-saving treatments, karma is a beautiful thing.
Also, can't help but notice that this is your 3rd post - thank you for joining LSE to tell us about the itfalls of investing in 4D.
Unfortunately, the sector does not matter. Shorters only attack companies they think are overvalued and they can gain - the share price depreciation would suggest they have it right here. Clearly management have failed to deliver [If SO thought 4D was primed for success why would he sell - there are multiple ways he could have covered his other posistions] and yet 4D management only response is to award themselves massive options, looks like a very distressed move and we see the SP capitulating further.
There are many brilliant ideas that never surface as novel approaches to problems, there are also many that fail due to bad management and hubris and we might be witnessing one here - under promise and over deliver.
Cancer will kill 1 in 3 of us, at current rates and you should think twice before coming here and being all proud about shorting 4D, here's why.
Shorting Oncology biotechs massively hinders their ability to raise finance, accelerate R&D and outlicense to pharma- who then make those drugs available to people who are currently dying. And Oncology (Immuno-oncology in particular) has really achieved very serious progress over the last 10-15 years, but we are still far away from beating cancer.
No, by shorting biotechs you are not just playing the market - you are genuinely switching their lights off slowly and making it difficult for them to invest in their science.
Big pharma have over the last 15 years massively reduced their in-house R&D operations in favour of in-licensing from university spin-offs and niche, specialist biotechs so we, humans, really massively rely on small biotechs these days for innovation and new treatments.
4D is developing what is increasingly looking like a brand new drug class. Go short mining companies or weapons manufacturers if you have any decency. What will you say to yourself or your family when cancer comes knocking?
Good luck all holders.
