Also their announcments dont make sense or back up the published results.
Its almost like the management of the company is speaking another language to the results ! Its all very odd !!!
Dave_1 @ I understand that process but I imagine the margins on Govt contracts to be thin. If capita cant control costs well then profit is going to come under pressure every year.
I'm thinking its that coupled with cashflow thats part of the problem here.
It doesnt help they are not announcing half year results on time. That is plain weird. I am thinking talk of revovery maybe premature until people can find out what is actually going on inside this company.
If they take those 10,000 furloughed staff back, I have reservations they have the cashflow to sustain them. A lot of large organisations are shedding a tin of staff, HSBC, IAG etc etc. I think Capita may now need to do the same.
That depends on the reason why the delivery was late by outsourced company and also depending on the type of contract they have as well. If it was the contractor's fault, it will impose fines for late delivery as well. So it's not a complete loss. but then again, Capita might need to pay back to the client as well for late delivery. But yes, there will be losses, but not a complete loss. Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how it works?
Bertles... The government put a contract up for tenure.
Outsourcing companies then bid. The lowest price normally get its.
Contract will usually last for X amount of years and will be paid X amount over that time.
If capita misjudge anything or it takes longer to roll the service out and costs more than expected then they don't get more money for it. Therefore they run at a loss.
This has been the problem with outsourcing over the past 5 years.
Do they make money on govt contracts or is it all just work in hand?
No results, no detail, the share price keeps slipping. Its very difficult to understand this company and where it stands. Is this actually a revovery stock or just a stricken company !
I wish you all luck with this.
From the LT holder point of view, Lewis has hardly been anyone's sweetheart outside the shorting community.
otherwise CPI might be leading a path breaking system for a govt dept, local, education or health authority for tracing, with success it achieved in building systems for DBS records, TfL congestion charging & tv licence collection but instead it is aiming an app from New Zealand (where population averaging 17 people per sq km, Scotland 70 p sq km & a metropolitan area like London 5,700 p sq km) at businesses like pubs, restaurants & shops.
I'll be happy if they could just spin out broadly similar detail on 6 months to June & an forecast that disregards head office & exceptional costs again so we can all hope of ESS or another deal to be signed rather than the SP being shorted down to 20s.
sold 1/3rd on rise this morning, might but back if the consensus is that we will get better announcement
GLA
Still no results !!! Are they actually going to publish anything this time round ?
Why is Capita share price always opposite from others. Other's up and it's going one way down. It's a proper love hate relationship with Capita SP.
Jon Lewis has always been up front. No Carillion / Tesco subterfuge. They're currently the government's sweetheart during the CoVid crisis so expecting some positive news. Roll on the ESS sale.
Can they be hoping to get away with not saying any more than the 26 June statement?
lets hope not
Thanks! The open today is conforting
Checked on yahoo finance and earnings report is scheduled on Friday.
That 1.5m was an Uncrossing Trade. Google it. Neither a buy or a sell.
Don't know but 1.5 million shares were sold last night. Surely this can't be good.
Still no news on H1 Results? Too busy working and don't even have the time to publish the results lol
Any news today ? Whats happened about the announcement !!!
Any news today ? Whats happened about the announcement !!!
Surprisingly it went 36.8 almost 7% up before dropping again.. I think it's the bottom.. will go higher with the result
Seems to be holding quite stable compare to others today although too early to say, usually CPI is the one to drop hardest. Also been quiet for a while now with no news at all. Quite exciting to wait this out and hopefully some good news soon.
Still no RNS
If anything it will be announced at 1635 after trading today.
25.06.2020 was an AGM day
Am I missing something? Wasn't out on 25/06/2020?

It seems something very good H1 coming today
I think its today
Nope heard diddly squat despite an e mail to the company IR. Dates keep changing to the next day on financial web sites but nothing on Capita investor relations. It's like the IR has vanished into a vacuum.
