Wow that is a very intresting question. I suspect it will do both. No I changed my mind. I 100% guarantee it will do both.
I'll take anything as long as it's green! lol
On a lighter theme. Takers for tomorrow's SP?
Besides my mother died from cancer. Suffocated by it without painkillers since they would have killed her even faster.
You don't want to hear the panic in someone's voice as they find it harder and harder to breath. And then can't.
So, yeah I care about this.
Exaggeration doesn't make an argument.
Jacque - I agree infact the article yest said something like 350,000 early stage cancer patients likely missed. But no-one seems to care about cancer anymore.
Racandfz - So you believe that we are nazis for not shutting down every bad flu season? Coz it's the exact same principle.
I prefer coffee to tea. is that anti-trump as well?
Seriously!
When a doctor tells me a serious risk is much lower than it is I guess he must really not like me...
Apparently the nazis practiced eugenics.
Anybody going out with the flu probably hasn't got the flu but a cold. But you're right. Why pass on a respiratory disease to anybody else without need. Unless of course you're happy with the risk that they catch it and suffer the consequences?
Me? Wear a mask. Not perfect, but way better.
The cases started increasing significantly 18 days ago, so one of these "lags" should be due by now? Do you believe that from now on we should shut down the world every bad flu season? As obviously every winter when young people "selfishly" go outside they can then spread flu which will go to old people and kill them quicker than they would have if they had never got the flu. How can we morally justify this as we've now decided no-one can be allowed to die weeks/months before they were apparently "destined" to live untill.
Ever known a society where the young and old live in entirely separated worlds?
No? Me neither.
So what happens when young and old or young and others at a risk do mix? Death goes up. A double lag, so t takes time to show. Basically you have two incubation periods to wait for.
Plus, although the chance of death is much lower (but far from zero) the chance of serious illness with the very real risk of persistent lung damager etc, actually considerably higher.
Would you get in a car with 1 say 1:1000 risk of serious accident? Maybe, once, twice. Would you do if it often???
Be well not stupid or a danger to others.
"The average age of a coronavirus patient in the US has dropped by around 15 years compared to the early stages of the pandemic, according to Dr Anthony Fauci, the director of the US National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Reports from states where virus cases are surging - such as California, Arizona, Florida and Texas - confirm Dr Fauci's statement, as most new cases are young people who have flouted social distancing guidelines or have essential jobs that require them to be on the frontlines.
“The average age of people getting infected now is a decade and a half younger than it was a few months ago, particularly when New York and New Orleans and Chicago were getting hit very badly,” Dr Fauci said in an interview on Monday.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said on Monday that the median age for a patient needing hospitalisation in the state is now 33 years old. Most patients being diagnosed in March and April were in their 50s and 60s, he said."
Can't see these cases translating into many deaths as we know the stats for people under 60 are way lower, let alone people below 40. I believe under 40 you are more likely to die in car accident, and if under 40 with no health conditions you are 3 times more likely to die in a car accident. Once the markets catch on to this more I can see things picking up, especially the dow jones.
