Good stuff NDN.
Pete. Just trying to calm things down a bit. Yes most of them are dishonest, deciving, manipulating, lying , self centred s>>>s
none more so than the man who will say anything to get you on side then stab you in the back, and get away with it time after time. I would rather stay but if I have to go, via a democratic process, then go I shall. As I said this is the 3rd attempt at a public vote and it may end up with a 4th, which I personally think it will and should, but thats my view and others will reject it, thats fine. But I am not going to get extremist about it if they do.

200p is nothing, 300p is the quick target before it creeps above 400p.
Bluepete,
The former PM was scared of campaigning so she stole ED miliband’s ideas and employed socialists in order to blunt Labours message. Have you seen Boris talking about energy price cap, broadband cap or encouraging switching? The answer is NO! I see BT @ 300p easily if Boris gets a big majority.
Hope you’re proved right on that H.
Agree with your sentiments TLW. Unfortunately whoever prevails at this election has only had to convince the majority that they’re marginally less likely to do damage than a very poor alternative option. However did the bar get so low?!
Bluepete,
Bt was mistreated by Theresa may’s socialist crew who are all going to be dumped soon. May is more like Corbyn and she ain’t no capitalist. Ofcom, Ofgem, FCA and CMA will get a proper flush out soon. BT’s CEO is smart and has been cosying up with Conservatives. Ex ofcom boss was a joke, entitled person with zero experience in the job.
350p is achievable by December 2020.......the supportive story will drive the sp.
Thank you Aus, NDNIC00, and BluePete for your honest and open contributions. We all seem to have a common factor in that we voted in the same way in the 2016 referendum. Being a life-long democrat by inclination (more important than an alliance to any political party in my view), I then accepted the result as the outcome to a democratic vote. I would add that I respect everyone's right to challenge the statements made by any politician or political party - we have seen a lot more of this during the current election.
Further, I have been somewhat disenchanted by political process for several years, the result of the inactions of a weak PM and the failure of our government and parliament to resolve a divisive issue that has been ongoing for far too long. My current wish is for this country to have the best possible government in place to attend to everyone's best needs especially the genuinely needy in our society. This is unlikely to happen today. One thing is sure that the current disharmony within this country's political framework needs to be resolved. Perhaps this is too much to ask, we are currently entangled in a web of facts and misinformation - truth and lies (from all political parties) are difficult to separate.
Perhaps I should be thankful that my family enjoys a good life and do all that I can to maintain this; additionally steer clear of political debate over which I have zero influence.

Regards and best wishes to you all.
Most BT share owners have already lost out big time under conservatives . Perhaps they’ll restore that now just like they’re saying they will with everything else they’ve cut.
I know you mean well with your post NDN and I appreciate your efforts to promote a more rational view but I think it will be a worse day for all of us when there is no-one left questioning and challenging dishonesty, those that seek to deceive and would lower the moral standards of our nation in pursuit of personal gain.
Frankly Johnson, Corbyn, leave, remain is just the symptom in my mind. It's the underlying implications for society that are important for our future and our children's. Just saying 'you lost now shut up and accept what they say' leaves us dangerously open to further decline .
Aus. I am really sorry to have to say this, especially as there are a few who will use it as a stick to beat you but, I think you have lost it in your last few posts. The debates were had, people made there mind up, like you, for there personal reasons, and the outcome was leave. That has to be accepted Like it or not. It could perhaps have been set up as a 2 part thing, if leave wins then a second vote on with or without a deal to follow, but it was not parliament was left to decide, that's how it works. Mrs May caused most of the problem in 2017 because she was deluded enough to think after an election she would have a larger majority and get it done, she did not get that and so the problem really started. If a government had been elected in 2015 saying it would leave the EU without a public vote on it then we would have left in some form by now, would you be ranting about that if it had happened. The only thing the current situation has done is bring to the front the extremists wanting a no deal, and my friend you appear to be turning into an extremist for the opposite view and your message is harming you. I would prefer to stay but I had my say in 2016 and lost in the same way I loud have lost had I backed a horse at 100-1 and it fell at the last jump. The people were asked and they replied, we all put people in place to deal with it in 2017 and are having another go today, do we need to keep doing it until it fits your view, no, this will be the 3rd chance and it has to end at some point. Have a good day all rember tomorrow is Friday 13th !!!!!!!

“A leave voted opened up a wound for every diseased agenda acting against our interests. A Conservative vote is“ is complicit to these abuses of our system
TL - there was nothing democratic about the 2016 referendum. It was an abuse of our democracy & all the fallout you describe is because of that abuse.
No right minded person should sit back and accept this result in my opinion
There’s an argument to be had about misinformation, foreign interference & the ridiculous level of debate & finally behaviour of right wing owned press, daily mail, express, telegraph and other churning out and participating in fake news & in some cases hate. The evidence is for all to see, the leave campaign used dangerous divisive methods to disrupt democracy.
What isn’t up for argument is the 3 campaigns run by leave, vote leave, leave.eu & beleave. Each of these campaigns covered the entire spectrum, from moderate leaver right through to ragging national front racist & everything in-between.
Again this was an abuse of the system & again goes some way to explaining why no one can agree what Brexit is.....
Democracy is a very fragile thing & relies on several things as you well know. If the leave campaigns didn’t respect democratic debate rather than literally lying all the time why should I?
I find it difficult, to this day to find an explanation as to the benefits of Brexit, even the leave lisrs are now saying “just get it done” we’ve hit the iceberg let’s get on with sinking........ when I get an answer that’s not bathed in fake patriotism it’s usually demonstrably not true
Having been subjected to a coordinated political deception I don’t think it makes sense to carry on the lie & reward anti democratic behaviour with power, where this combination ends up obvious, the lies get bigger, along with the funding, exaggeration and false claims, biggest, best liar takes all.
Ignoring the shutting down of debate with anti democratic tactics, misinformation & 3 campaigns all seeking a different Brexit, we both know 17m people didn’t vote for the same thing.
The pre curser conclusion is for all to see, a confused electorate incapable now of making an informed decision a prime minister hiding in fridges incapable of telling the truth, flogging out and out lies about what he hasn’t achieved as a deal..... unable to stand by or justify his own words whilst avoiding any kind of scrutiny, funded by who ? Exactly ?
If you fail to see this & continue to back this con, you find yourself in agreement with mr Putin who hopes to gain advantage from the chaos, mr Bannon, the same, Trump, for the same reasons & because his handler is Steve Bannon & insidious commercial agendas who for years have abused both democracy and extreme capitalism to feed people bad food, smoke dangerous fags and sow confusion around climate change to protect their dirty polluting profit and the expense of everyone and everything.
These are dangerous times & none of this has happened because I voted remain.
A leave voted opened up a wound for every diseased agenda acting against our interests. A Conservative vote is
Aus. David Cameron agreed to the EU referendum as part of the 2015 Conservative Party manifesto. When the Party was elected, albeit with a small majority, the referendum went ahead as promised. Rules were agreed and information was made available to the electorate to help them arrive at a decision. The then PM backed the Remain campaign, and the people were allowed to express their preference in a once and once only vote. The electorate voted in favour of leaving the EU. Sadly, the EU, backed by a significant number of MPs in our Parliament opposed the democratic will of the electorate, and the result has been a shambolic three and a half years in which valuable parliamentary time and expense has been wasted to the detriment of good governance in our country. Whatever you or I or anyone else believes, the matter will be decided for once and for all if there is an overall Conservative majority in tomorrow's election Any other result will perpetuate the current shambles within our parliament, although I suspect that having an unbiased Speaker should improve the way that business is conducted in the House.
I respect your opinions, although I do not agree with them, and would respectfully request that you desist from your persistant "name calling" of other contributors on this board. You are not the only offender in this respect, but it would be easier to take your opinions on board if you were able to do so without being offensive towards other contributors. Regards.
I don’t know why I’m even bothering to answer lunatic schlemiel
The leave vote was so democratic it’s utterly poisoned the electorate, who no longer know the difference between right & wrong, truth or lies.
It was so democratic it’s effective ruined our democracy or any chances of it re-emerging.
Your contempt for democracy is despicable and sinister. Go away and search your soul.
“Unfinished business”
A remain vote wouldn’t have resulted in an idiotic change for all the wrong reasons would it?
Although having said that according to idiot Farage and co it would have been unfair business
There’s one thing for sure a remain win wouldn’t have resulted in a suicidal lurch towards a hard stay with entry into the euro, closer union etc etc ..... would it.
A remain vote wouldn’t have suited Putin more than the population either
That would be trick village even leave campaigners can’t agree what that looks like. ‘Twas a Con’. & that’s that.
Surely if the Lib Dem’s campaign on the basis they will revoke article 50 & get a majority.... can you explain how right wing propaganda has made you think that’s some how undemocratic?
It’s actually far more democratic than the 2016 referendum where there were countless conflicting versions to vote for (hence the mess now)
I would equate this example of nonsense along, with but not equal to that little favourite of “unelected judges”
Thanks NDNIC00. I will have another look at that. Should the Conservative Party seal a working majority, the issue won't come to the fore. I did not think that the Labour Party would gain so much ground this week, but the projected Conservative majority is within the error of margin for the polling system used, so that the election could go either way.
It is strange to think that had the Remain vote carried in the referendum, then David Cameron would still be PM and we would have been spared all the political unrest, and mostly confusing and unhelpful information that has been in the public domain in recent years. I actually voted to remain, but accepted the result of a democratic vote once it was announced. I find the literature circulated by the Lib Dems during this election to be both bizarre and ridiculous. They call themselves (Liberal) Democrats. and have used every opportunity to state how they intend to overturn the people's democratic vote if they are empowered to do so. I hope that they are treated with the contempt that they deserve by the electorate tomorrow.
The share price is now irrelevant as we have been the victims of the greatest con in British history by Boris and his cronies. We know from the government own figures that we will all be worse off.The only reason I can figure out is those who are behind all this are making money out of it or else they want to destabilize Britain for their own twisted interests.
TLW If you look back a few weeks you will find info relating to the pension, basically the pension would stay with BT and not move with nationalised parts of the company. The older schemes also have a crown guarantee ,ie the government would take it over if BT collapsed.
Unfortunately, the Labour Party's statement regarding broadband proliferation has had a destabilising effect of the BT Group share price in my view. Corbyn has promised to nationalise BT’s Openreach division as part of his policy to give every household in the UK free broadband access. This isn’t the first time that the government has tried to split BT and Openreach. A few years ago, due to regulatory concerns, attempts were made to separate the two businesses. This couldn't happen due to complications surrounding BT’s giant pension scheme.
If Corbyn did get into power, he would to encounter the same kind of difficulty. This would mean a choice between nationalising the entire business or abandoning the plan entirely. With all this conjecture that Labour has created around BT Group, is there any wonder that the share price is somewhat over-sensitive to election news at the moment. If the threat of Corbyn's policies are removed, I am hoping that the BT share price will recover its upward trajectory to super 200p values following the election.
Quite right pound. Let's all get rid of our, Europen Health cards so if we become unwell while in a member state we won't be a burden on there health system... It's recpicall while we are a member if/ when Brexit happens that system may well still exist, what a stupid open statement you made, please advise us of the percentage of non EU member countries abuse our NHS, oh except the yanks,as they may well own it soon.
