Nothing really to add, we will wait for whatever update must surely come over the next couple of weeks, I have long been prepared for any outcome with this share. ATB.
So we are hoping this chap has heard the ‘word on the street’ and jumped in….my interpretation of external trading.
Well good luck to you all, seems some of you have some serious cash in here so I hope you are rewarded.
I admire the guys pluck. Hell you could make a sleeping bag for a blue whale out of this fellas nut sack.
Amazing. Hahahah
One thing I forgot to say......... nice to be over a penny here eh? Just makes things a little better whilst waiting!
Whilst waiting for a £
Well £150k is a lot of cheddar, but it’s all relative. I’m in for £95k with 1.6m shares so I’ve got another 5p to go before I see a break even price.
I’m looking forward to seeing how next week plays out.
ATB with your holdings.
Draw, insider trading I doubt but external trading definitely .The Calgary boys may have heard something, but from within Bor-simply NO.
As to Ant's comment- this is no punt. Especially at a point of fund raising, the punt should have been a while back.
News soon....... and very soon
Ha ha great response, that makes sense. His £150k is another man’s £500, ie me! Lost big in desire so hoping bor can redeem, also have rkh.
Draw, unless anyone has evidence of direct involvement or info that was shared it would simply be a smart investor making a speculative punt.
I admire the guys pluck. Hell you could make a sleeping bag for a blue whale out of this fellas nut sack.
Either way we will all find out next week what the future holds for bor.
Excuse the nativity, but say some form of deal is done in the next week, would this not raise suspicion of insider trading? Or would this just be deemed one hell of punt?!
The interesting thing here is that an experienced investment house in oil and gas would not buy over 3% of the company prior to a cash call and potential severe dilution for them.It just wouldn't happen, these guys are spending other people's money.
So on that basis it would be reasonable to conclude that some sort of deal is en route, what that comprises none of us know but nevertheless a deal done. Or alternative non dilutive finance in place.
I’ve loved(and hated) bor for many years like you guys and I’ve bought at 30p in the past, luckily not a huge amount but recently bought back in with £2k and got a lot more shares than my original investment.
Although the value of bor and it’s acerage is not lost on me I would be absolutely blown away if we got anything like £100m outright buy out, only because of the position we are currently in. I think something along the lines of £40-50m and a percentage of future production, which i would be over the moon with. A small slice of a big pie means we are all still going to be eating very well off the back of it.
5%-10% on 90kboepd with a free carry and we retain the other prospects for ourselves would see us command a fairer market cap in time and then we would have farm in partners lining up to drill other prospects once wheels are in motion for Darwin.
Well noted points Gus, and well researched too.
I’m in sales and I’m flat out telling you, I’d work my way round the oil barons and kick their doors in, introduce myself as Jodie Foster and leap onto the nearest ping ball machine and present my cooch with a £500m price tag!!!
Even that price is corporate rape, but it gives us a pound a share and puts me in the millionaires club, so I’ll take it.
Can’t wait for next weeks update.
Yes agree Ant, its been too many years so let's hope for a once in a LT payday. I wonder who the board are chatting to, perhaps its Enbridge who are the largest oil and gas company in Canada with offices just across the road from our new investor- Cannacord.
Or could it be Chevron who purchased Noble and inherited the Alba Field off Guinea producing the closest API oil to our asset by using a FPSO also.
Or we could all be barking up the wrong hopeful tree again.
Shall find out soon, I am staying put.
Nice summary of the current sitch Gus. The value here is nothing less than astonishing, 41 billion dollars ffs.
My pot jumped up by £10k on Thursday, so I’m over the moon with that as a starter for ten. I crunched a few numbers ahead of our price rise and 50 million is corporate theft, for that matter so is 100 million. If this is a buy out I think it will be at least 100 large and with bor getting a back hand on every barrel, or 500 large and we walk away.
Personally, I don’t give a 2 bob bit, as long as we see the value we have held out for.
ATB
Into. Not a huge top up, but I do have a load here and like others am under water. However not that much now with the current recovery. For me its long term and the attractive thing about this stock is that we have a huge asset, its 100% owned by us and its badly needed. The market cap is almost nothing (a few million usd against asset value of 41 billion, that's just for Darwin)
and the board are creating a part development plan for the asset which will need a much lighter investment.
We can get the stuff out easily and stored with a leased FPSO, these bad boys are placed in some of the remotest places on earth! and available at much better rates nowadays. Yes it needs to be appraised and flow rates understood, but the board are confident it will flow at 90,000 + barrels a day which is huge.
So considering the above, risk v reward is ok for me and I stick until the next hand is dealt, whatever that may be. I am a great believer that value is always realised in the end and this will either be farmed into or bought outright.
Definitely worth a punt here the potential is huge,10-20 bag short term is possible but only invest/bet what you can afford to lose because it’s as risky as it gets
I hope you don't get stung Gus, I put many K into this back in the day... but that money is now just a distant memory which I regard as stock market tuition fees..
