coco must know something others dont about supply - there are plenty of sewers in 3rd world countries gagging to take boohoos custom. as for brand reputation money talks. people want cheap clothes and put the working conditions of the people making them to the back of their minds.
i shop at primark and i'm pretty sure the peoplpe in bangladesh and turkey stitching them will earn even less the "supposed" salves in Leicester.
lets not forget, boohoo haven't been found to be complicit in these ALLEGATIONS
As with Staffline, any companies underpaying, will be asked to backpay workers and they will be fined. After that the company continues per usual.
Staffline underpaid workers supplied to a number of companies but did not underpay Boohoo warehouse workers

Zebudee well said. This is just sensational journalism , it will pass.
Same can be said for Nike (historically using sweatshops), Defence companies (weapons that kill), Oil companies (spills and fracking), Miners (slave labour and damaged environment and pollution, cigarette companies (cancer), marijuana companies (drug dealling), medical companies (inflated prices) etc. Although I disaprove over harm to environment and people and belive in fair pay, I release with investors money talks and ethics walk. At the end of the day theyre interested in profits.
The sharks are circling , always a good sign they want in.
Supply chains are in tatters? Care to share where you are getting this rubbish from?
Brand name is in tatters? Again where is the proof of this? Is there any large social media boycott? Anything to suggest this is remotely true? Nada. There are barely any shorts against Boohoo.
From what I've read, there was a single supplier, with whom ties have been cut, and the FT and others have found no signs of modern day slavery.
This is a storm in a teacup and will be yesterdays news in short order.
Coco you eaten too many Coco pops.
dropped majour suppliers? It equated to 4% being SFA of their revenue
Heightened costs in manufacturing? lol Maybe they will move their manufacturing abroad and make it even cheaper. However, I believe they will streamline and make their processes more efficient or they will not gain contracts to make them in the first place.
If you don't like this share why are you here buddy? We investors dont want your opinion
Owners will not cut and run if they have millions invested here and have incentives to take the company to new heights.
Just go on Youtube or social media and see how many video hauls etc are being reviewed. Boohoo is the future
I have a business on the high street and let me tell you retail foot traffic is dead mate.
2nd waves are happening, the biggest countries in the world are yet to peak how do you think millions of people will be shopping
It is you that needs to wise up sir :-)
Once the shorters have made their quick buck this will go back up just the same as all previous scandals.
Just need to wait the bad sentiment out - either on the sidelines or check out of doomsaying threads like this
I see from the Tegraph ASOS have big supply chain problems. Sales at Primark leaping ahead. My prediction of an M with a downward breakaway has proved bearish as i said yesterday. Boohoo will be fine, wait for the next results.
*Close* not closed
Coco has made the most reasonable comment that I have seen this week. The Kamani's are lying through the skin of their teeth, they know exactly whats happening in Leicester and have been closed with those that manage the operations there. How can you be in the UK and not know how your products have been manufactured.
Yep, the owners are only interested in profit and has been supporting a thriving slave labour market in Leicester (and god knows where else). They've been found out and are being rightfully punished in the only way they understand, a reducing share price/macap and, hopefully, many more people boycotting them by buying elsewhere. Just my view...
We live in a sensitive world.
You do perhaps. Now go cry in a shower.
Coco19 Really . Is that the best you can do to convince me to sell. hahaha
"Who are going to make their products at the same costs?"
Ever heard of Bangladesh?
Spot on coco
Hard to watch this struggle now as many are fearful.
With a mid-long term timeframe it looks good... the chart doesn't look good right now though
Hold long term or step out for a bit
i missed those Chris - i went for the snake skin though and happy with my purchase... got to admit looking at the clothes on the website makes me feel very old :-)
as usual i was premature and got in with 2.3 average - fairly relaxed as this is no ordinary share. I expect to bag in the mid term
I'm buying in tranches , got my 210p . 180p would be a treat but i cant see it.
Yes, just ignore the noise and sit back, the debate here wont affect the price. I see this as a mid-long term investment.
;-)
haha , thats reassuring to know you main concern is my buying habits not the SP :-) An acquisition would be perfect now to kill any shorters, as for poor PR response relative to ASOS. How can a thorough investigation of all suppliers be completed in < a week. come on guys lets be realistic, this will take weeks. Results in sept coupled with any necessary changes to supply chain will see this exceed previous highs
andypandydandy My worry is you buying knickers. !!!
Ordered some dungarees and some new knickers. My advice to all longs are find a hobby and come back to this forum in September. Some of the predictions here are hilarious. Suggesting this company is dead is baloney, boohoo are here to stay, bricks n mortar retail is dead. Long n strong
