grze
fingers crossed we might still get a bump from the fact we are now part of that Beaco
building and operational plan
If our wonderful PR team could be bothered to repeat what the Island said on the 9th
Beaco (Gas) Tasi Mane project new studies commenced to advance the project which
will be based on Chuditch , Sunrise and Kelp co development (25-30 TCF combined)
vice original Sunrise 5-8 tcf and pipeline offering that the industry rejected and offered
to China BRI who also declined
Those are material changes to our previously no plan , no facilties lots of worthless gas
position
If they keep the market as mushrooms, your probably right just ticking over for another
few months , still hopeful for an early mover as we are not part of the bid round and the
Island has signalled trying to move things forward and ACTUALLY build Beaco
imo if Beaco fails to find a funder this time, the Island will have to bite the bullet and let
the industry do what they have wanted for the past 20+ years , Oz pipelines or FLNG
So game is on , timeline uncertain
:))
http://www.anpm.tl/anpm-extend-timor-leste-second-licensing-round/
States extended so the IOC's can continue lol , will have been running over 2 years by the
time now awarded , another Island stalling tactic to reel them in
Said in the Spring/Summer they needed to sweeten the industry with more than we have
endless gas (Beaco) and probably more oil (Bettano ) but mostly like the politicians lots
of gas so Bettano existed and being refurb covered oil but NOTHING in place for gas
9th Island are going for new studies and may or may not still build Beaco not enough
it would appear for the Majors they want to return
I guess it is still to the likes of Shell , twenty years on and it may or may not be built and
are still sitting on the fence , imo with the new 3 field approach the economics of Beaco
should attract a funder and complex operator
Another wait it is lol
:))
That sounds like an excuse to get more bidders m8 left the announcement to late
and did not get the people they wanted
2020 bid license round was extended NOT FOR COVID but for the TGS 2D Seismic which
presents like 3D for the entire 50,000 square KM covering both all on and offshore Timor
Leste which had commenced in June 2020 but TGS announced the entire 50k skm would
not be available for bidders until October when the round was due to close so in mid
September 2020 they extended it for another year
Studies now in progress for Beaco so uncertainty remains , so fancy this another face
saving move to get the studies completed and now announced looking to build at last
attract the Major's back to the table for talks and bidding
Covid should not stop the bidding its all on online portals etc , the negotiations and talks
AFTER awards made would require some face to face on Island events but not the initial
applications
Shouston m8 if this the case , looks like your post back in May/June coming to pass
without clarity the bid round will fail an opinion shared by a few of us lol
:))
Guess the wait for true value continues a bit longer but still hopeful after that pair of
announcements in Upstream articles on the 9th we might still get some early mover
knocking on our door as a change has occured , we are named in the Islands plan
to Build Beaco (Gas) Tasi Mane NEW/Change)
and more importantly has moved from stranded worthless gas with nowhere to go
to now has a plan in place to build the facilities needed to process (NEW/Change)
Lets see who turns up , still think they will but will they we chancers looking to also
sell on when the Majors do decide to move back in or we strike it lucky with Shell
coming to take their ball back
:))
So is that it ? is it going to be more 0 movement of the SP until March lol
ANPM Extend Timor-Leste Second Licensing Round
Given the situation of the recent global pandemic that has affected the petroleum industries globally, which have directly impacted the ANPM efforts in the promotion of the Timor-Leste second licensing round, and further considering the gradual global recovery of the petroleum industries, therefore, the Autoridade Nacional do Petroleo e Minerais (ANPM) has decided to extend the timeline of the closing of the bid submission from October 1, 2021 to March 04, 2022.
