Some companies may announce they are advertising in games for extra PR or it may get covered by news stories. However I think most of the time we will only see how popular it has become in the revenue figures. Eventually advertising in games will become the norm and it will just become a regular allocation for an advertiser. A lot of the time they will look for the number of impressions and whether this is online or in game won’t matter too much.
I imagine the plug in will be automatically linked to the DSP and if a game developer uses the plug-in in their game then the space is automatically available to buy on AppNexus. The game developer probably sets the criteria they want - i.e demographic playing the game, any averts or products they object to etc.
in terms of timescales IMHO the biggest lead-time aspects will be for the developers to train their coders how to correctly define the suitable advertising areas in the game via Unreal engine and then TEST that the adverts load correctly and do not slow the game down / stop the game or cause errors.......they will need to test various scenarios (such as data-link outages etc) to make sure the process works robustly.
The share price will move as investors digest this news. We were at a high valuation to your average investor.. now we are not. we will move upwards now over time during what will be a news heavy quarter
Girdz. Will they announce though or just get on with it.
Question. Does the "plug in" mean in theory mr/mrs A Gamer. In their bedroom can sell advertising space or would they/can they join a Dsp site and sell?
No problem, always like to contribute!
That’s obvious isn’t??
Publishers stating specifically they intend to have ads in games.
Like JD said q3 is setting up, q4 all systems go.
Sept is the go live for bids SDK.
All going to plan so far, albeit we would have like SP to moved out of 28 - 33 p range
That’s the most positive post you’ve offered here Fudge.....glad you’re finally feeling it

You could argue that the sp got ahead of itself and has now consolidated but be in no doubt this will fly very soon.

I am seriously disappointed to the share price reaction to the last 3 rns's.
We were trading significantly higher without all of this news, whats it going to take to move the share price?
