* Antofagasta : Citigroup raises price target to 1500p from 1400p
y James Attwood
(Bloomberg) -- Antofagasta’s Centinela copper operation is
seeking approval from Chilean authorities for a $448 million
tailings disposal project, according to a government website.
* The project consists of “enabling infrastructure and carrying
out the necessary activities to transport and conduct
conventional tailings from the Esperanza concentrating plant to
Tesoro Central, Tesoro Noreste and Esperanza branches”
* NOTE: Centinela, Antofagasta’s second largest operation, is
the result of the 2014 amalgamation of the Tesoro and Esperanza
mines
Topped up another £10k early doors.....I really feel that this will leg back up soon and pass its previous high as the price of copper moves up towards $9600 as most seem to be forecasting.
Copper will continue to be in short supply as EV manufacturing is ramped up over the next year or so.
Antofagasta : Credit Suisse raises price target to 1320p from 1180p
Hopefully the next leg up coming soon. This peaked at 1600p when copper hit $7600. Predictions for 2021 are for copper to hit $9600 as demand ramps up and storage is in short supply
Not sure when this will run out of steam but sticking with it for a while longer. The demand for copper will only increase as we accelerate the move to greener energy and EV production.
copper price $8000+ a ton.

Back in at 1400 today. Looks like copper going to be in big demand for many years to come as we transition to electric vehicles and more wind power.

Looks to me that we still have legs left for a bit more distance. Copper going crazy right now and showing no signs of retracting for a while. Let the trend be your friend.
