Moses,
Good post. I think the BOD talking about International expansion would be over the top, they need to get past the key hurdles by mid Nov then make those moves for 2021.
There would be too many questions. Get the spine sorted first.
Nothing new to report on Twitter guys and girls . Have got alerts set your on my phone so if JB does decide to get active I will try and let you know :)
Morning Figgy - how's the broth stirring????? : )
TimmyC,
(Not sure why you were on my Filtered list, maybe from early days so apologies)
I might break a rule an add Monday, as this is positive reaction to the PI’s demands and for the wider market as you put it sentimental value. If only they posted this before in this fashion mid week. I think they have clued up to the fact their RNS was not a good idea after all.
Can’t make this up...
Investors mood is lighter going into next week. Amgo is most definitely not disappearing that is a given.
Thanks Moses great post Keep the faith, fundamentally Amigo are still a healthy company in a regulatory transition this will make the company stronger long term.
Amigo have the 3rd best guarantor rate at 49.9 the same as Lloyd’s guarantor rate, of course Amigo are the market leaders in what they do .
I’m holding long and strong .
Mark let me explain What last night’s board of director summarY and fax will potentially do!! Currently last week there was massive uncertainty in the board of directors and a lot of shareholders were extremely worried about the approach the board of directors was taking on the business. However last night has almost completely negated all of last weeks worries and a week last Friday statement to the market. With lending potentially going to start at the back end of this year, which isn’t far away now we will likely see the share price next week pushback over 20p. This will then mean JB by back up to 20p will be meaningless and it will also mean the board of directors get voted in again. I believe Glen Is now turning this business around. Whatever happens if lending is back to normal the back end of this year and early next year the revenues will be huge they will be able to control payback and grow the business. Who knows they may even grow internationally and use JB’s idea! Last night’s information is categorically a game changer
Amigo holdings web page go through the result take your time have a good look though there’s lot of positives, the company’s operating costs have dropped Along with the loan facility, the cost of complaints is no where near what we thought it was going to be, plenty of cash still on hand.
Remember if JB gets in and takes the company international, they could be lending in no time, in this country of course they are still lending to key workers.
And remember they as a company are clearly work hard With the FCA ( keeping them happy).
Come on people this company’s worth more than it is now.
Good morning gents,
It’s good to see the mood on here lifted somewhat after a crappy week. The q&a’s on the website whilst has reassured me of a future, I don’t think there’s anything on there that we didn’t know alreAdy. Good to see the board are alive though.
Agree with Mark & Seamus, I don’t think it will affect the SP this week though. And I don’t want people feeling s**t because of it. It’s a slow burner this. But we know when it flies it bloody rockets. I don’t see that being this week though.
Despite what the Q&a’s reiterated, I still think GC & JB are in this together.
Last full week coming bobbing around at sea.
Ready for some stability & direction here
Mark
Gotcha now. I was thinking about doing the same with Boo pre their results but will most likely just sit here
I'm no trader :)
Mark , the way it is all going I don’t think it matters to the sp who actually gets in , thinking GC stays no matter and maybe if JB gets in they might not lose as much money with claims and pick up marginally quicker over time ? And they will go international with him which could benefit but also he could pass that out on another company so all in all I don’t think it will go much past 20 this year , but will go high eventually
Iknownuffin I’ve got every intention of doing so. Like I said yesterday my view on this hasn’t changed at all but I think the next week will see a static sp.
Seamus12 I agree I just don’t see what will move the sp this week all the ace card game changer stuff. Yes there is a business here worth fighting for that will no doubt do very well longer term ie after the vote but right now from the viewpoint of the next week .... I don’t get it!
Mark , well it’s been hovering here for a while hasn’t it with no real progress so don’t blame you if you have seen more potential elsewhere . I have been scouting but if I’m honest I’m in enough companies at the moment with no others taking my fancy , hope you can and do buy back in though :)
Iknownuffin. I sold Friday to take advantage of something else that I believe will give a greater return in the next week or so with the intention of buying back her with even more shares ahead of the vote .... but I don’t see what is gonna cause this surge in the so Monday and up to the vote. If it wasn’t for the need to free up some capital then I would have probably just held as I see this stuck between 10 and 13 until a day or so before the vote.
If I’m wrong I’m wrong!
Mark, I can only speak for myself and understand what you are saying, but my head has been getting lower and lower over the past week.
At 4.30 yesterday I was actually worried I'd make the wrong decision holding but the very fact the bod have come out with this means (to me) there is something worth fighting for and they want to keep it.
It the feel good factor that I hope will get the SP to move
What I don’t get is why anything the board has to say any one of us wants to hear ? They are useless have always been useless and only GC is professional and upstanding out of the whole lot of them ! The RNS from day one has been only to attack JB and now we have a Q&A on website ! Laughable I have to say .
There is nothing to make the sp surge , if there is please someone explain ?!! This will go up whatever happens so no idea why on earth anyone would sell as yet ???
Candi and positive energy.
Did you read the results? All the sustainable business going forward comments and having turned a corner with complaints comment were in there! In fact lending was to start before the end of 2020 and it’s now the start of 2021 ..... tell me what I’ve missed that’s gonna cause this rocket and my buy order will be set for Monday am ..... I don’t get it?
Its great to see some passion back and I do think the move from the BOD will help but lets not get ahead of ourselves again :)
All we'll do is fill this BB with the DH's who thrive on others misfortune come Monday if we are wrong
For all that held and bought on Friday well done for the ones that seen the drop and sold due to your other reasons I do feel for you as it’s not easy when money just keeps dropping on your portfolio. But finally we’re on the go after many months
GLA and have a great weekend
Positive step in the right direction it might boost sp over 20p so that jb buying up to 20p become meaningless
Come on Amigo let’s get behind this ask all the questions we can, and we all know the first question don’t we???
Finally, something from the board! Whilst this is, as others have pointed out, essentially, not new information. The important thing from my perspective is that the board are actively engaging with PI’s and providing some communication with an element of reassurance. This has been what has been missing in recent weeks. A lack of leadership, communication and guidance to reassure shareholders. This is a step in the right direction. Nothing new but certainly positive.
