Mouse..international opps i m sure are out there...i d like to lend to African nations. I have reasons for this. Many of them ******. Joke.
defo, lucky. I don't know why a few thought 'Oh my God... they'll be shorting the stock! :-O !' but we did, but that doesn't make any sense. If these companies want to short a stock, they wouldn't buy it in the hope it goes down to sell it, they'd borrow shares from brokers paying a fee plus interest, then selling the stock when it's high, wait for it to go down, buy the shares back on the cheap, hand the borrowed shares back to the broker they borrowed it from and keep the difference. These big guns bought into Amigo and as I said before, they don't buy into something that they know won't work, they have reputations to lose. They might not believe in our Amigo, but they see profit. That is the only way that makes sense to me. Somebody suggested they might buy the shares to take Amigo over and then break it up, but break it up into what? It's already broken enough :-) and trampled on by camels and her minions.
I have this strange feeling that Amigo might go global and this could be behind all the restructuring and talks of new products. I could be totally wrong. If they do go global, I just hope they won't translate 'Amigo Loans' into German, as "Freundschaftskredit" sounds a bit like a declaration of war :-)
Yeah things are looking that way. Good luck tomorrow and I agree in future we could be looking at dividends more per share then cost price today.
LOL fingers crossed for tomorrow everyone am feeling really positive on this, I think something has leaked somewhere hence the big boys stepping in.
the lucky guy... then let me quickly order a drone equipped with a camera.... ok..... that is done..... just so I can film you :-)
super tag ill pre warn you lol
I will settle for a max of £2.49 then lol.
the day this stock hits £2.50 you will see me running around the village green naked with my pants on my head making tarzan noises, cant wait keep the faith folks :)
Keithlard - you do understand you can buy and sell when you want?
The fact I've been buying and selling in this stock for 2+ years doesn't mean I just bought and held from high to low but played the game of following the swings. I stated my average as others do, I'm not looking for brownie points just stating that currently that is my position.
I appreciate this chat room and I also appreciate when people explain if their statements are one of an actual investor in this stock or one from someone who has no interest of investing but just has a comment to make.
Very true acaciatan
Yes I’ve bought and sold amgo over the last few years, I actually think my first dabble was at over £1.27....how things change!
Not sure how everyone trades but I buy and sell a lot, sometimes hold for a long time sometimes only for a day. Each to their own.
Will be waiting for results tomorrow....like us all!
mjcthepilot, after rain the sky looks blue.
Wishing we all have a very good fortune.

Not sure why folk feel the need to post their position, no one gets a bonus point for being top of the class. Pilot if you've been in for years you must need 20p+ to breakeven... I hope it happens tomorrow mate.
HAHAHAHAHA GosiaS :-) how weak... I've decided not to even start thinking of selling partially until after 2.50 ;-)
mjcthepilot, don't feel ashamed to have fallen for doomsday prophets, happened to me and to many in here. We have our own little doomsday prophet in here. If you feel you're starting to lose it, then write your concerns in here, somebody will pick you up and support you, before you make any rushed decisions.
What a day! suddenly my dream of £3 per share in few years is no longer so laughable :-)
To be honest I’ve been invested in Amigo for a long time, had some profits and some losses over the last 2 years....almost quit the stock completely in Jan, I’m ashamed to say probably from listening to other peoples posts about what they thought they knew about this stock, but glad I didn’t.
The best advice I heard about investing was to learn to control your emotions....mainly greed and fear. Sadly it’s not an easy thing to do!
At least tomorrow doesn't feel like make or break anymore, with JPM and Bybrooks on board. They didn't buy to shorten the stock. That would mean they shoot themselves in the foot and they don't buy deliberately into losers, as they have a reputation to lose ;-) So I'm quite relaxed now :-)
mjcthepilot, data on 27th Jan - Amigo:
Open 6.50
Trade High 6.74
Trade Low 5.26
Close 5.80
(Source graph of H&L on above date)
Very smart mjcthepilot bought below 6p price at 5.779p. Must be an expert then as I could only add 450k shares between 6 - 6.3. Good luck anyway, with this hot market I am happy to see my next target at 27p.
Your quite right HH,
I actually had 570k and sold almost all on 27th jan. price was rocketing down then. Bought them back the same day....guess everyone has a weak moment
mjcthepilot, the lowest SP was 5p, but not for long enough for anyone to build up gradually over a while and then wind up with an average of below 6p. I find that scenario mathematically somewhat challenging, if I'm honest :-)
500k...build up over a while
Been a roller coaster the last few days, for what’s it worth I expect not great news tomorrow and also don’t expect an update regarding starting to lend or the SOA or the and FCA decision on both.
The BOD is strong and there has been some encouraging buy ins from large players (now holding 10% I believe between them) not to mention other large PI’s here, that’s the reason I’m still holding. I’m averaged at 5.779p so looking good today but we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
Keep smiling everyone....
