Hi all, just got back in, seems like there's been a bit of hysteria here today, but all looks ok to me, awaiting Tuesday, maybe nothing much is going to happen until then. Perhaps everyone who is going to take a position has, and some have simply got scared and/or fed up - seems like the mood in here is a bit like that today.
@nursesteve - nice when that happens, I was just working off the record low and the size of the defence contract side of the business (not to mention the government 'golden share'), institutions love RR and will come flooding back on good news. As soon as Covid settles it will also rocket on their business model. I'm expecting it to be back up to a fiver in a couple of years.
Hi Twisty - Looks like a good advice to buy this morning at RR as it seems set to rocket as SKY reports Kuwait’s sovereign wealth fund is in talks to buy a stake in Rolls-Royce Holdings
When I read this yesterday it just said to me “hello we are ready for anyone to take us over, Just buy 30% of the stock off the market and insert whomever you want”

I'll be happier when it's skill :)
Used him to protect their own jobs for 6 months..GC saw their colors.
I’m the opposite with it, the last 12 months I just trade off the loan conversion lows, some times you Win other times it hurts, it’s followed a consistent pattern. Future yea It could be great but share price will Depend on potential consolidation and future financing.
Here - I’m disappointed about Glen leaving but i can understand, his name was being used as a Pawn for The existing board.

My trading style this week
Sunday, **** myself as all in at Amigo
Monday morning sold and bought boo, and a punt in G3E
Wednesday MASSIVE FOMO sold half boo and bought back here
Basically I'm up nearly 3k because I pooped my pants lol
I should write a book
Itisagame I’ve looked at icon as well that’s one I’d have to be prepared to hold very long term but it does have an jvredible upside but I feel a lot of patience would be required.
Nurse Steve I think you will be ok from the level it’s at. ; )
Richmond 100% agree same here watching other opportunities pass me by that’s why I did what I did at end of last week.
Id wait for next loan conversion if you or anyone is tempted there now.
Made £15k on icon, it’s in here now :)
Hi Mark knowing my luck it will pull back even further but I’m back in there now.
wish I had more cash for others :(
I tried leaving here once and couldn't stay away lol
I think vela tech will start to move at some point soon and I like the look of syme just don’t like the number of shares in issue.
Nurse Steve. Looks like that was a smart move short term with bpc it’s pulled back! I’m still holding but quite a pullback if you fancied another nibble!
I felt bad reducing my all in position in Amigo so very much doubt JB could walk away even if he lost the vote (which I don’t think will happen).
Hi Twisty, sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the steer to RR. Looking to add that one to my ISA now as I’ve decided to diversify my portfolio. Still substantial holding in Amigo though. Would hate to just be seeing Amigo through from the sidelines. Must be even harder for JB
I know something,
You mean the “the darling of the stock market” under JB:)
I learnt a valuable lesson a few years ago. Diversify your portfolio and research before you commit. I have been doing some research in junior minors and believe next year will be good for them for a number of reasons. In theory, amigo and other lending company’s should be the ‘in thing’ by the end of the year
Lovely when it happens??
Life changing even:)
Roll on Tuesday.
All nothing. The thing with “those” kind of trades investments you can be in three or four and a couple bomb but the one that does well more than compensates. Plus sometimes you hit all of them ... rarely but it’s lovely when it happens.
I’m still in both Mark and you are right in telling people to do their research before buying. Too many technicalities when buying a share and people should know what they are getting themselves into. Having said that, there’s plenty of bargains if you can find them. The 2 that you mention I would say one is definitely a big risk as it could go either way but the other has all the credentials to make a shed load. Cash is king in the current market and they have enough of it with the ceo a proven leader.
Back to amigo, I would argue that once the uncertainty is over then the this will move.
I'm late now, but do have a look, JB is merrily tweeting away again this morning...
@Nursesteve - If you are looking long term, I reckon that Rolls Royce has to be a bargain at this price, just loaded up there in the SIPP this morning
Cheers for the reply. I agree it still looks like BPC has legs but happy to check out G3E after doing my own research etc of course!
