shhhh we don't talk about that one, I've just stopped waking up screaming :) - I've had a good profitiable year though with IQAI, riding it from just over 1p and more than recovered those horrible losses and learnt a lot of lessons.
Regarding ALM - the short answers is yes, I think they will liquidate in time - it is the business model and certainly the intent of Crystal Amber as an "activist investor", Bernstein has recently plunged around 12m into buying up a good chunk of the woody/investco shares putting him / them into a very strong position and he wouldn't do that without good reason. the revitalised board under his demand should prove very profitable for all I hope.
Due to the woody and investco clowns the share prices and business direction has been gamed and played with for a long time and indeed that is, in my opinion what has caused the current mcap / price position. Cautiously, I believe the impact of their offloading is coming to an end and we should start to see the Sp recover relatively soon, although there seems to be a chunk of shares un-accounted for at present, I had expected a few more TR1's by now. Q1 2020 should be I hope v.good for the share. Once the special divi from Hawkeye gets announced we are likely to see a good recovery, conservatively 20-30% from current position just on that annoucement imo, if not more once people get onboard and research the company. Hawkeye is a side show but great de-risk at current levels for me though and assuming the price doesn't get too hot I do intend to invest the majority of the dividend back in. The real return and my interest being against Federated Wireless, its on the cusp of becoming massive - 2020 should be huge for 5g and CBRS across the US and UK - check out ongowireless (cbrsalliance.org) to see the massive names involved (google, etc)
Spin Memory is also a great company and revolutionary tech that 2020 should be good for I think.
I know woody was a clown, but I do think his investment here was correct and in-time his investors would have been happy, that said he rode it circa 500p down to 50p! and obviously the woody collapse wasn't about ALM but more about his overall strategy that has caused some great shares to become massively oversold, like ALM (but in balance he was carrying a lot of trash aswell in the portfolio). Also the dick swinging between him and investco hasn't helped.
Im in relatively heavy here, but I am still buying - ive got a few other shares I hope to hit target on in the coming weeks and if so and if ALM is still in the sub 60p region then I'll be buying a few more big chunks.
Good luck and good to see you here!
Have to agree. The exact reasoning why I have been buying the last week. It was getting pumped alot 6 months ago now no one talking about in on twitter and chat boards. These are the stocks I like.
Hey Boom, welcome aboard mate. Hope you're well!
Great note from Edinson Research

You think most PI will be loading up here to get the special dividend. Anyway sure it will start to move back up. Way to cheap down here.
Likely to have 12.5p returned to shareholders in early Q1 2020. 30% special Divi. That’s takes much risk off the table. This really is a bargain. I would add, but I have a lot already!
Still chunks being sold. It will finish soon enough and move up.
Beggars belief that it's still dropping. Keeping away from looking at it for now.
And the sp goes down ??
