thanks for the post
Thanks to Laurence and Waterloo, Advfn We are sensitive to the copper price to the tune of +/- 10% in price = +/- 50% profits according to Edison, but I get: Using $1.75/lb costs for pre tax profit calcs below I get: 5MTPA @ $2.40/lb = 25000 tons of copper = $134M revenue = $36M profit 7.5MTPA @ 2.40/lb = 37500 tons of copper = $201M revenue = $54M 9.5MTPA @ 2.40/lb = 47500 tons of copper = $255M revenue = $69M 5MTPA @ $2.75/lb = $154M revenue = $56M 7.5MTPA @ 2.75/lb = $231M revenue = $84M 9.5MTPA @ 2.75/lb = $292M revenue = $106M 5MTPA @ $3.00/lb = $168M revenue = $70M 7.5MTPA @ 3.00/lb = $252M revenue = $105M 9.5MTPA @ 3.00/lb = $319M revenue = $133 5MTPA @ $3.25/lb = $182M revenue = $84M 7.5MTPA @ 3.25/lb = $273M revenue =$136M 9.5MTPA @ 3.25/lb = $345M revenue = $159M All this is using 0.50% copper ore, and some sweeter grades can make a lot of difference..! ....... With 15 years off-take/mine life and assuming costs remain at $1.75 and production level at 9.5Mpta at price of $2.75 ave over that period, the mine will produce, based on your assumptions, $1590m profit over the current mine life. They could throw off healthy dividends in the coming years. Taking no account of price increases, resource increases/grade/ potential cost savings and expansion etc. Happy with that.
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0169136815001602 This is a fantastic breakthrough of huge concentration of VMS mineralisation, any other share and they would have gone up 100% overnight.

I actually don't mind Tracylied / LP / Derek ......... If you take his posts for what they are I find he adds some humour ;-). The truth and facts remain though, if the company were to be promoting itself and delivering professional updates we wouldn't have such a poster finding it a necessity to constantly ramp the share. The companies strategy the past 12 months has been dire, and why we find ourselves sub 4p, deliberate / manipulated ........ Maybe. The good news is the huge potential and newsflow that is backing up. I just hope for all of our sakes Atalaya has a different approach to the old Emed. ATB
After a long period of time and further enquires to some of his postings I decided that I couldn't believe a word that tracylied wrote, complete fantasist IMHO, so I decided to place him on ignore, I know there's very little chat on these boards at the moment but I'm confident that there's many LTH's sat in the background waiting very patiently for verifiable news rather than listening to Walter Mitty on here. Oil, Copper Surge on Upbeat Demand, Low USD http://t.co/cW3uz1UQSm
Indeed and I think you will find about 2 weeks ago I said on advfn that the smelter trial is finished and they are now stockpiling onsite. There were test batches shipped and now they are stockpiling. They would not be able to definitively test the material without trial production at the smelter. No big secret as I posted it on advfn as soon as I had the nod from Emed that the trial had successfully concluded.
Ironic you should write that last paragraph LP ! ............ Now please do correct me if I'm wrong but haven't you, for example, on more than one occasion been telling readers that Emed have been shipping and selling the concentrate they have started to produce. Well, interesting that In the recent presentation Alberto mentioned they are stockpiling the concentrate, have received offers for it but as of yet have not sold or shipped any concentrate. Now which is it LP, Alberto is lying or you and your contact don't quite have your facts straight ? ;-) Have yourself a lovely evening.
Why don't you just ignore me. I am not pretending to know anything. I have a very good contact onsite and I am in regular contact with the company. That is accessible to all shareholders if they make the effort. Unfortunately there are many armchair experts who know nothing and write plenty of nonsense.
above ask...
TL, Thanks for sharing your observations. As always you are most welcome to your opinion. My piont is that i am not particularly interested in how good someone is doing elsewhere, when they do not hold any EMED shares. Also, i promise to stop making comments about your posts, if you promise to stop pretending to know more than you do. Other posters do not, i am sure, want to hear you boasting and me challenging you. That's it from me. F.E.
Thanks for the link, all looks good to me.

The copper price is having no effect on our SP. Copper has shown some strength for the past week or so but has had no positive effect on Emed. I suggest this will not change until the company announces to the investing world that it has become a commercial copper producer. I have in my mind some very positive news and story that could be sold to the investing world, but if the companies communication and PR strategy does not improve then i have a feeling our SP will not do so either. I am hoping that Emed do have a strategy in place and will start to communicate and promote the company once it has changed its name to Atalaya. And, I would personally agree with that strategy now that we are so close to name change and steady production. However, for the past year the communication and PR has been shocking. Very poor indeed ! I believe there is a great story that could unfold here, and potentially some good upside to the MCap / SP, BUT only if management such as Alberto deliver on promises, ie Resource Update, and start promoting the company and communicating to the outside world without letting us down ! Positive communication / newsflow is key now.
