yes, the BOD need a rocket! hopefully, the results will provide some impetus to the shares. at the moment, it seems one step forward and at least three back. up 5p on Friday and now down similarly today. also, this share seems to suffer from some of the longest red streaks I have ever seen - talking of down days consecutively over 7 or 8 days, even more on a couple of occasions. of course, it doesn't help that volume is awful.
the BOD certainly need to show some positivity in these interim results. I think the market is punishing Esure for misleading them - I certainly hope that they will take notice of that, and also be able to show some good figures on Wednesday. I would certainly be mighty fed up if I had subscribed to the IPO and held the shares. as it is, at an average of 242ish i'm not overly concerned, but would be happy to see a firm upswing in the share price!
seems to go in the opposite direction to the market
thanks for the encouragement...lets hope thier results are slightly better in november.
This share is well oversold. Already paid a divi and only in its 3rd quarter. Made a statement that premiums will be lower in the 2nd half and the market as not forgot this. imo. this will fly when they report there results. Also they must be a takeover target at this lowly price. so my advice anotherhopeful would be to not put them in the kennel yet. £2.90 year end
good job esure dont insure roofs and buildings , as these blinking shares are driving me mad i cant figure out who is manipulating this price and i dont think its just car damage reducing share price by 4% . is there any share gurus who can shed any light why esure are such a dog. ???
are due out on the 13th November . they'll hopefully provide some impetus to go higher .
Andrea, not sure what you mean, according to digital look, dividend yield for esure is over 6% vs. Aviva's 3.8%???
Should / could Esure team up with QPP to lower their claim processing costs? Seems to be what some of the other big players are doing....
Patience is the key here, value will be reflected in the sp at some point and MMs will mess around in meantime
what a share , my worst share by miles , cant understand how such low volumnes affect this share so much, god help us if they issued a profit warning , they make healthy profits , give a half decent dividend ..price is at such a low to launch price . what have i missed , ??? HELP....
If I had any free cash I would probably add to my holding too at this price - I think that on a medium term timescale we should see a decent return via a capital gain. if nothing else there should be a decent final dividend early next year. I didn't think we'd see this share revisiting the all-time low after the mini recovery. We're certainly a long way from the IPO now. I have an average in the low 240s , so not overly concerned, but......this will be the 11th out of twelve days that this share has finished in the red if it doesn't recover this afternoon. that is pretty dreadful....I noticed that Cannacord have reduced their price now to 250p with a hold recommendation - am not saying that has much bearing, but I would certainly like to see a bit of a pick-up soon! The Q3 results are due out on the 17th November, I believe, so it'll be interesting to see how they are received by the market
For 2,000 more shares
Can't believe I am talking myself to buy some more - but I am....
Indeed I'm reasonably new to share buying but I would assume a company like Blackrock owning 12% of Esure would suggest they see something worth investing in! Hopefully some good news is around the corner.
These guys obviously know a good thing when they see it - my only regret is not buying more at 220p ish - I expect the quarterly numbers will be pretty good and we might even see the SP close on the IPO price....go fees crossed.
Latest RNS might explain the rise
Like you I have no idea why the SP has jumped up of late but I did take a small profit today selling 4000 shares at 250.68p - not going to make me rich but this and another small sell elsewhere paid the eldest daughters university fees. Oh well tomorrow is another day!!! You win some and you lose sum but overall was a good day as my portfolio was up a little... Ttfn
I'm struggling to find to much recent news on this company and cant begin to understand the sudden jump on Friday and fall back on Monday. Does anybody have any opinions or solid info as to whats going on? I'm in at 240 so am not immediately concerned as to current price fluctuations but do try not to hold shares when I cant understand what is affecting the price!
Spent a large part Sunday trying to find out where I had read Shield's Wheels is for sale and I can't find a thing - obviously I am mistaken so apologies to all. It must be my age...
Think the rise is to do with the 3.7m share trade at close of play, down as a sell but could it be a buy ahead of an announcement on monday????
I certainly hope so! I kept averaging down on this one until I ran out of funds, as I thought the downward pressure was overdone. I kept going and now have 12,000 at a 243 average, so feeling quite good now. I imagine there will be some serious buying pressure on Monday morning pushing it up some more, but then again....!
i got a whole load of gkp , so was all happy until thursday ...until rns which dropped price by 8% sounds like this share has something happening ...there is no way a boring insurer jumps like this , without some reason... hope a big german insurer wants a bigger presance in the uk.....fingers crossed
was just looking at google finance at my portfolio and noticed that esure had jumped to 262.7 and thought that it was the usual sort of technical glitch around closing time, but it has actually finished at that price! well chuffed! I have 12000 of them , so now sitting on a nice profit which makes a change from my miners and man group!
there has been more movement in this share this week , is there something afoot ?? insurance is the new oil sector ? is warren after more insurers , he likes insurance companys
