Yep, ITV wasn't my finest hour, bought at £2.54 and finally bailed out at £1.35. The last year has been tough with my momentum strategy not doing particularly well, my biggest loser being VCT which has fallen from £32 to £20. I have a small profit with TW but my saviour in the last year has been Ocado, which I bought at £3.55 and is now £12.38.
Perhaps I was a bit unfair about AIM, my comments were based on what I have read about AIM rather than personal trading experience. No doubt there are some good companies on AIM, I suppose the danger is it is easier for these to be manipulated due to looser regulation.
Hi Tom Must be ten years since I was in VOD came out with small profit the sp not moved much since. I was in and out of itv couple of years ago broke even with divi really glad I didn't stay. Its been a difficult market this last year apart from house builders, I'm investing in companies with global assets not mainly UK The gold company we are in is my hedge stock apart from being in a great position for growth these next few months. My biggest losers to date are Solo Oil, Cadence minerals and Victoria oil and gas all badly run in my opinion ATB:))
Apologies - 10 lost money.
Hi Bamps,
Cricket chap with 20 penny stocks and 10 went bust.
Sounds like toss of a coin.
However, seems he has managed to choose a few boats over the years that stayed afloat and didn't sink.

Bamps Hi,
You forgot to mention VOD & ITV both well and truly down, I was in both but was very lucky to get out with a small profit. Sold both at around 1.71
If I recall OWLS was in ITV at the same time as me, don't know about VOD and I hope he got out at a small profit before that drastic drop. I remember him joining TW. at around the time I got out.
Hope we have some good news soon here as I am still down quite a bit at an average of around 1.96 ish, not taking into account the nice divi's but intend to hold long term so not really worried.

Tom :-)))
Hi Owls Sometimes AIM stocks are volatile but not as bad as the main index In the last 10 years or so I've had 7 stocks bankrupt or near collapse Magnolia petroleum AIM William Sinclair - fertilizers main index Afren oil main index Carillion main index Debenham main index Interserve main index And the last one Tw main index The first four all collapsed the next 2 I sold out on way down. Tw I've eventually regained my money plus a lot more So I can't say that AIM is more volatile than the main index. To invest in AiM I've learnt when in profit get out or top slice. My investment in ggp I've top sliced they are all free shares now :))))))
Hi Tom I'm in a good profit too 0.6p to 1.6p . To get that same growth with Tw from the 12 month lows of £1.20 you would need it to be in the £3.50 now Ggp can still double or treble from here not much down side at mo A chap at the cricket was telling me he had 20 penny stocks a few went bump, 10 lost money, some made a profit but the last one has seen him do very well with cruises every year I hope this is ggp :))
Actually the only share I am in a very good profit ATM is GGP that is an AIM company. How many here have had a dabble in GGP ?? I know only one on here.
Cheers and a great w/e/ all.
Tom :-))
Hi Troubles
All very depressing right now, reflected by Sp movement. Johnson favourite which is not a good sign but better than Gove and don't even mention Brokensh*t - but imagine that was just a wind up!
Psn down about £1 Bn cos of him.
The madness is the Govt is entirely responsible for the shortage of housing, and now fighting Builders rather than trying to create a plan to fix the issue.
Still hoping things will improve for tw for next 2 weeks.
BoL
Personally I wouldn't touch AIM but each to their own.
Hi Nige,
Have set a little bit aside myself also but wouldn't like to see our SP go any lower at this stage.
The expression ' a culture of customer exploitation ' is rich coming from someone like our old friend 'Brokenshi-e'.
Wonder if he's got his eye on the PM's job with a little help from the Mail.
Hi Troubles
Builders PPI? Tw set aside £3 Mn to cover the risk = approx 0.05% their value (raid the petty cash!)
BoL
Whoops - article was dated March 2019 - letter to Brokenshire was Nov 2018.
What's changed in the meantime ?
https://www.leaseholdknowledge.com/competition-and-markets-authority-cannot-investigate-leasehold-mis-selling-because-of-brexit-brokenshire-told
This was the situation in March.
Suppose it transfers some of the heat away from this useless, incompetent Govt while they ponder over their next leader.
Bamps Hi,
If I recall correctly didn't TW put aside £3 mill towards payments ??? I thought it was all over and done with but its taken a turn for the worse with this latest result.
Oh well,
All have a great w/e,
Tom :-))))))))))))))))
Hi Tom Not good news but I was half expecting a clamp down. Tw have put in some measures of compensation this time last year they had rectified/sorted 90% of lease problems. Not heard anything from Psn or others
