''Our contracting strategy sought to transfer timing risk to our Tier 1 contractors'' p6 GLA, 2018 FR
Thank you Biffa, that is what I was trying to say!
I think you misunderstand MCB55's post.
It doesn't take "days" to flow stable oil. He's not saying that. Whilst it may only take 12 hours to reach 10k bopd stable oil flow, it will however take 50 days to reach 500k barrels at 10k bopd and warrant a tanker off load. The capacity of the AM is 600k barrels.
GLA.
how does it take 'days' for fractured well to flow stable oil?, 12 hours max.if at 10,000 BOPD!
Let's admit it - we are all bored waiting for First Flaring, keep fishing..
NB: First Tanker '3+ weeks' = PMO Catcher (remember Catcher Development was FFD not HUR EPS starting with one well, then 2..).
Foresight,
Not sure your definition of FOIL is correct.
I think Cebo has it right and this is backed up by what happened with the PMO Catcher project. The first tanker off load was quite a few weeks later than FOIL. Fact.
Not that this is a big issue in the greater scheme of things.
GLA.
Foresight,
IMHO FOIL is not when tanker takes oil to market, which could be 50+ days after FOIl defined as stable production, ca 10000 bblsd
99.5% correct Cebo, FOIL will be when tanker takes oil to market which may be any time post First Flaring, most probable after 3+ weeks. My post was in response to ‘smoke & pancakes’.. FOIL is commercially defined which caused lot of BB posts several weeks ago. We know HE got good deal on AM - but looks like that meant AM dusting itself down on location rather than in dock or on route. Certainly understand all frustrations on BB over last two weeks.. HE obviously very busy and inward focused with rock funding secure - hence HUR SP bouncing around like a ping-pong ball on secure basement!
Foresight, you have lost me with your last post, (not too hard I suppose). When the AM is ready to open up the wells then that is what they will do, whether we call it First Oil or "Introduction of Hydrocarbons" it matters not. Hurricane will then conduct a serious of tests for about 3 weeks, seeing how the wells perform under natural lift, the ESPs, together or with 1 shut in shut in periods and will gather a lot of data and info from it. Then after they have finished playing they will start flowing them at a steady rate, 10mmbd has been guided. This is when Hurricane will declare Foil officially and the AM day rate starts.
That's my understanding anyway. - Introduction of Hydrocarbons will be RNS'd and approx 3 weeks later Foil will be RNS'd.
...we need smoke up the ‘stack’ before we can get ‘more reservoir data’ to maximise it over the consequential 20 days of start-up, post first flaring.
What you on about getting more ready, it really is not as simple as plug and play. I guessed that the commisioning would take 4-6 weeks and was told by industry experts that that was optimistic. It will happen when the FPSO is ready and safe, and if that's this Friday or in 3 weeks time then that's ok with me.

"Your do wonder why they did not get AM more ready before going out into WoS... I take SP rise as they are finally ready."
As Malcy told us all : "Hurricane is taking a gradual approach to start-up in order to maximise reservoir data."
I do not believe they sat around having a smoke and a pancake prior to going WoS and said "f*** it, we'll leave that bit until we get there"
Your do wonder why they did not get AM more ready before going out into WoS... I take SP rise as they are finally ready.
Finished day of an upward trend! That has not happened for a while. All this climate change must be focusing AM on the real matter inhand - stop fishing and get some petro-monies in the bank. Maybe Dr T has been to see what they have caught? Tomorrow looks very promising.. keep hauling buoys...
...First Flaring must be very close. HUR SP seems very leaky on inside operations on AM. "Way hay and up she rises".
Yes, there will be at least two of us in white trainers attending. So, you'll have to work out our genders' yourself! Any more and you'll really be flummoxed!
Daltry so are you coming as an eighty five year old man and bringing "her indoors" with you as you have mentioned both on previous posts, or in the new female form?. - Just wondering as it is always good to meet up with fellow investors.
Sipp, I only have vague memories about the midnight kebab, unfortunately that only fuelled another couple hours of "socialising" after you left. :-) a good night had however.
Sipp - Yes I will be at the AGM. I also will be wearing white trainers......if they let me in, that is....
MichellaC
MichellaC - thanks back and for the excellent suggestion of meeting up with Cebo. I actually had dinner and drinks with Cebo, in Aberdeen only a few months back. Although it was far more drinks and much less dinner, that consisted of a rather dubious kebab around midnight.
As for the AGM, I will be attending that with my wife, Mrs SIPPn00b. You are still welcome to join us alongside other investors and I'm sure Mr H would be more than pleased to see his top adviser there too.
The previous post-AGM venue of choice has been The Goat and we hope to see you there. I'm easily recognised, I'll be the guy with the white trainers.
...back to HE, looks like Grampian Sovereign back over subsea wells again, and stationary(?), about time they stopped AM fishing.
Sipp - Kind thoughts. Had enough AGMs when I had my own biz. Don't drink.
A girl like me has to watch her habits, and figure, you know.
But if you're looking for a man for company at the AGM I suggest you contact Cebo.
MichellaC
daltry
Sorry I asked, no ulterior motive, it was just that a bunch of investors here are likely to meet up and have a drink afterwards and I was going to mention that.
But upon reflection, maybe you were right, you should stop posting as you have blabbed too much already. Perhaps you should change your handle to michaelcohen?
Daltry, I really couldn't care less what you think, I just find it ironic that for the past year you have posted about JH being your client bla bla bla, and then you you go and post about client confidentiality, on a public BB.
Any good luck but I am finished with the thread, as I really do not want to engage in Mental Combat with someone that is clearly unarmed.
Cebo - You are a tasteless sicko.....
Sippn00b - (sounds like a password) -Why do you want to know if I'm going to attend the AGM? Dark motive? And, why mention JH getting a round of applause? He and RT are origins of why we are here. I don't follow your fishing?
I don't really have an opinion, as O&G is not my field.
Also, there is the issue of client confidentiality. No, I am not a lawyer, or a priest. Just respect.
Have a good Easter.!! (Is one permitted to say THAT anymore ?)
daltry, I've been very interested to hear what you have to say, I expect alongside many others, no need to stop posting.
Do you plan to attend the AGM can I ask? JH got a well deserved round of applause at the last one.
