OK , so you have halved my range and made it 450,001 to 499,999 bbls with you winning for all other outcomes? Normally I would tell you to go sling your hook but as it's for charity and it reminds me of a previous bet that I won I'll go for it.
I'm not in to football but about 20 years ago when I worked offshore a Rangers fan in the T shack kept telling everyone that Rangers were going to hump Aberdeen. I told him to behave a few times but it escalated to him repeating that Rangers would beat Aberdeen then he said "I'll bet we will beat Aberdeen, it'll be 2:1" making sure I had witnesses. I took the bet. His face dropped when it was explained to him what he had better on. Unfortunately for Aberdeen and him it was 3:1 but I won the bet.
Apologies for going AD!
I love a bet but in this occasion I'm with BD as 450,000 is my minimum. Happy to take a 'stab in the dark' bet to the nearest 10,000 bbls with you if your up for it? I'll go for 510,000.
My ten penneth 344,400 Bbls ,
JK, I'll take a £10 bet for charity on that one if you ste up for it?
Biffa :
“destination after the AM, perhaps others can remember. Invergordon possibly ?”
Yep, she went straight to Lerwick.
Stick with Yorkshire Air Ambulance to keep life simple.
JK,
It would be nice but I just can't see it. Fancy a £10 on it !!
BD.
Hi JK,
Doubt it very much as any RNS will be after the offload is successfully completed. RNS Tuesday at 7am hopefully.
GLA.
I've posted this before but just to clarify that the tanker hook up pre FOIL was a dry run and no oil was offloaded.
We were told this when they bought up a slide showing the tanker linked up to the AM at the AGM.
Maybe they took some "slops" I don't know as nobody asked for any further clarification.
If I remember rightly the tanker went back to somewhere that would take this type of cargo but would definitely be no good for offloading oil. I can't be bothered to go back and check the destination after the AM, perhaps others can remember. Invergordon possibly ?
Hopefully we will get an RNS for first tanker offload. Failing that a tweet but would hope HUR IR make the most of every positive news event or they are missing a trick.
GLA.

I was typing when you posted. I doubt a webcast but if they give out any information on well performance they have to release that info to the wider market by RNS.
Difficult one to quantify ie what HUR had exactly prior to Foil announced and true daily flow rates nevermind volume exported . So as per Morgan Stanley will our shareprice truly signify true worth ? Would it work if Assuming the tanker is in for let’s say 16 hours that once all in the FPSOs tank are emptied that once it’s left the only oil then onboard would be 16 hours worth , or does the production train allow for this oil to be night on discharged immediately to shuttle tanker . Therefore next tanker may give a more level playing field ie exact timescale

If they did not mention the volume investors would left speculating so I’m pretty sure they will.
Could also be a formal announcement of the CMD date.
DiveCentre, I hadn't seen anything official but the CMD has been confirmed to me for 11th July. Invite only, but there will be a webcast - I assume live.
adoubleuk
It was mentioned by Morgan Stanley as one of the triggers:
“The triggers mentioned by Morgan Stanley were: the startup of the early production system at Lancaster, lifting of the first cargo from Lancaster, results from Warwick-Deep exploration well at Hurricane's Lincoln and Warwick assets, and the company's Capital Markets' Day which was tentatively expected for late July.”
So it would be rather odd if there is no RNS
When is the oil paid for on transfer or when oil reaches port ?
londoner,
" If there is an RNS I don't expect to get the offload volume but who knows."
IF there is an RNS. Hmmm.
Let's assume the tanker hookup just before FoiL was just a 'trial run', or took on only 'slops'. This run is definitely for oil produced and stored on the FPSO. And as such represents the first actual revenue earned by Hurricane in its many years' existance.
Surely that's a 'price-sensitive' bit of news, and thus has be RNS'd?
What do others think?
JayKay1, thanks for the clarification.
JayKay, where do you get 120K m3, and are you sure this is the oil capacity for the vessel?
Foresight. I assume you're responding to my query. While I agree with your comment I really want to know the capacity of the Amundsen Spirit, or rather how it is calculated from the available data.
She'll be offloading in a day or two and that will be a question posters will be asking. For reasons I gave a few days ago I don't expect it to be full load, but the one after might be. If there is an RNS I don't expect to get the offload volume but who knows.
..it’s light oil and enough till FFD!
Thanks Foresight22. Who would have thought it could be such a beautiful thing!
A number of things struck me. The dynamic positioning which I'm sure will be a big factor in WOS weather conditions. The amount of pipework on the deck and the animation depicting the balancing of the load in the tanks.
I wonder how much of the sticky stuff she can hold - reference or calculation appreciated.
SIPPn00b, a very detailed and interesting description of the offload activity. Thanks.
What is the 'ES'?
Do you know the crude oil capacity of the incoming Amundsen Spirit?
I’m used to pumping at much lower volumes but on reflection at much higher pressures. 2” chicksan is about 8.5bbls per minute limited by flow dynamics of the pipe so if the transfer hose is big then no issues.
From the ES.
"Export of crude oil
The crude oil will be exported by purpose built, double hulled, dynamically positioned (DPII) shuttle tankers. During normal operations the FPSO will weathervane around the turret mooring buoy, with no requirement to use its thrusters to hold position. During the crude offloading operations, thrusters will be used to maintain the FPSO in a given direction. Offloading will be carried out via a tandem offloading arrangement, where the shuttle tankers will line up with the FPSO. The bow of the shuttle tanker will approach of stern of the FPSO, where the offloading reel is loacted, using their thrusters to maintain their position relative to the FPSO. While the tankers will not actually be moored, they will be attached to the FPSO via a hawser (heavy rope) at the stern to aid connection. Given the harsh weather conditions characteristic of the west of Shetland area, a distance of approximately 100 m will be maintained between the two vessels. The tandem offloading arrangement will mean that, in the event of any failure in the shuttle tanker positioning system, the ongoing conditions will push the tanker away from the FPSO. Crude from the cargo tanks will be offloaded using two cargo pumps and via a 16" diameter hose of approximately 140 m in length. This hose will have valves to ensure the hose remains closed when not in use or in an emergency situation, while dry and marine breakaway couplings will provide additional protection to both the hose and reel if an unplanned disconnection were to occur. The offloading system is designed for a flow rate of 5,200 m3 per hour, and offloading is estimated to take approximately 1 day to complete. The frequency of shuttle tanker visits would ideally depend on the rate of production and usable storage capacity of the FPSO. However, the size and availability of the shuttle tankers, as well as arrangements with onshore storage facilities and buyers will have an influence. The west of Shetland conditions may also have a bearing on frequency as, for example, it may be necessary of offload smaller volumes earlier than planned to avoid incoming bad weather. As a result, it is not possible to accurately plan the number of shuttle tanks required to support the export of crude from the Lancaster EPS development. However, based on the anticipated produced rates (see above), and assuming cargo parcel sizes of approximately 79,500 m3 (500,000 bbls), it is anticipated that tankers may visit the FPSO every 19 to 29 days. This will equate to up to 20 shuttle tanker trips each year for the life of the development."
I'm not saying we will take off 350,000 barrels but if we did, at the flow rates stated, the flow period would be 11 hours.
