Agreed Rotherby - there are some real egos assembled at GGP and not one of them would like to be associated with failure and would have enough experience to know whether they were joining a dog, or something on the cusp of real success. I am more comfortable because of the BoD in place.
I have to agree with you about BOD's, and it would not be the first time that have got the Board in place , it then removed the Managing Director.
I do not think that will happen here, Shaun has assembled a great board of directors and I think that it was getting Mark Barnaba on board that was the critical action and only after he was in did the others bits including Twiggy drop into place.
Shaun is the person that has brought this high powered board into existence, and they will ensure that GGP is a success, their names will only be attached to success, be assured.
Are you drunk or having some kind of break down? You're waffling on about nonsense!
Walter go have a lie down.
Apologies if posted before but good to see that our hardworking CEO is still out there pressing the flesh: -
“#GreatlandGold was invited to participate in Canaccord Genuity’s 3rd Annual Global Metals and Mining Conference this week. The opportunity to participate and engage with fund managers at the conference is appreciated“
Don’t patronise me Tymers - I’ve been on Boards of Directors and if you’re trying to tell me that any CEO worth his salt isn’t at all involved in the hiring and firing of his BoD then Shaun would be a first. I don’t doubt that Shaun involved Twiggy’s influence in constructing a first class BoD but you’re implying Shaun had nothing to do with it, which is not my impression of Shaun at all. Anyway, well done - I had always tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but your last post shows me how self opinionated you really are - I can truly SEE you for who you are now, so straight in the greenbin you go and I regret not doing it months ago when you upset others on this Board.
Twiggy assembled the bod please see not look but see for your own good. I was lambasted for selling at 32p. I was lambasted for incrstibh in btc at 26k. I was lambasted for investing in RR at 91p so I'm not here gor another buck I have plenty. . Some people look some see. I'm someone you should see!!
I agree Bamps - I could not explain in any other way why Shaun would create such an aggressive, expert BoD around him if it wasn’t because he knew he was going to need all their talent, experience and guile and for their part, why join a minnow unless they could see there was a real opportunity for them? All good imho!!
Someone is confident with a 2m buy last trade from 12.27pm 6.075
( 12.37 pm trade buy at 6.09)
To me Shaun seems to be making a point that he’s going for the lot and will be very accretive to shareholders.
Shaun
“this morning you've openly stated that should there be an opportunity to consolidate the asset you will, would you care to expand on this in your own words on what you mean by it and why you would publish this in an RNS?
- well look we're excited and I think our shareholders should be as well about the opportunities ahead of us and Liam you know we spoke briefly just as you were getting kind of ready to set up the call about you know I joined in 2021
- I think I was reasonably open that you know I saw this platform having an opportunity to bring back ownership of Havieron 100% into the vehicle and in that regard you know I think we've built the organizational capacity
- we've brought in you know a very sophisticated board, the debt Banks which is undrawn that you referred to which was 220 million on a 30% basis that potentially extrapolates to a 700 plus number
- the strategic shareholder (note: Wyloo Metals) and now we have a joint venture partner which has publicly stated that within the next 12 months… I think they said this back in late February that they'd like to completed divestment
- so this an exceptional confluence of events and opportunities and look we think we're really well positioned to take advantage of that opportunity and you know there's the opportunity within that is important to us
- and I think people should be confident that we would think about that you know in a very financially disciplined way and I think I've got a history at Straits at Sakari and then at Northern Star of being part of teams that have been very financially disciplined and have managed to undertake transaction that have created value
- they were accretive to shareholders and I think people should have confidence about that and I don't know the future but I think people should feel that the team is working hard to position ourselves for that success”
Hi Ace - Panama paints a picture of the happy days we have ahead. God knows we’ve had the tough times and still are, so when we get the final boost to a higher plain, that will be well worth celebrating!! VGLA!!
My take is if Newmont are saying 70% and Telfer are going to be sold together then GGP have almost completed a deal .or turned down the 70% . The email saying to be sold as one should not have been sent.
More good work dip , nice to see a 6.2p close . Enjoy the sunshine and take a break from here , no one can read the future what will be will be , no matter what we say on here gla
Patience is not and has never been my virtue but I can see so much value to come and more consistent value to build from.
Sounds like you are becoming more virtuous by the day 😁
Panama - worry ye not.
Was it Cava, Prosecco and then Champagne at certain price points??
I think get em in the fridge now, because when we get the news some of us expect, you may have to guzzle to keep up.
Maybe 3 months yet but I hope sooner.
Regards to you and the 2 or others I can still see on this site
Good post as always Panama - thank you.
Can anyone translate what Tymers is trying to say please?
I see the gang members are back slapping each other before the weekend debriefing
That speech was what you want yo hear. I know so many people who add diddly but expect others to earn them a living you Mt friend demonstrate a real lack of intellect and yes you will get upset about that but I've helped 20 w0 30 people today you probably none. Reality hurts
Catching up on todays posts and indeed those who have met SD are all in agreement. He sees buying Hav and Telfer as a huge value-add to shareholders all round! I never imagined we could have the opportunity. Glad it's in good hands and not with old management!
The SP is less than rubbish right now and the last three plus years even worse....however, there is more solidity in the company's foundation and platform for the future right now than ever there was. Certainly more than at 38p.
That was part discovery hype- covid sentiment hype and sector hype at the time way back when but there was no solid platform or leadership; just a springboard to sink or swim in if we could manage to hold onto Hav.
Now we have the unheard of opportunity to buy it all back and and and and potentially process all of the surrounding mines and new finds from our own tenements and others with links also to the giant that is RIO etc etc.
Patience is not and has never been my virtue but I can see so much value to come and more consistent value to build from. I am not at all happy seeing us at these lows but am heartened by the opportunities staring us in the face!
High risk high reward. Isn't that why we are here?
It's not a done deal till we are officially informed but I am really hoping that that negotiation has started ,at the very least, but more likely towards the end of negotiations. In my view we are the only party that can make it work!
Slowly slowly.....
GLA!
Tymers where did that come from, it’s a fun post are you mentally disturbed!
Not everything has to be so serious!
Chill and crack one 🍺
Ditto Dip's comments - much appreciated info based on facts.
Ta very much Bamps
Diploma. You like many spend evert waking moment seeking some opportunity to pass blame! Fact for me it matters not if you make or loose but expect you are like many that think they know more or attempt yo belittle are down yes down. Bye bye x
Thx Bamps - appreciated mate - have a lovely weekend, good to finally have some proper sunshine this year and some great posts today to think about as always :-)
