Not even an LTIP - LTIP awards have performance targets attached - this is simply a free bung of shares.

agree with woodster, its a kick in the teeth to those that bought into the placing, imo

he carrys no risk whatsoever, and the pay is good too,

The BOD, should stand to acount and fall on thier swords if he doesnt deliver massive upside profits, time will tell

Beamer - The "option" price is at 0.1 pence (not 1 pence). This is the nominal value and has simply been ascribed for accounting purposes. For all intent and purpose, this is an award of free shares - not even market priced options. Salaries are there to get someone into the role. Variable pay should be performance based which this clearly isn't. At the very least, these should be premium priced options (which on first glance i thought they were but clearly are not!). This is nothing more than a free bung - share price could half again, and his shares still have some value. He has taken no risk whatsoever.

10p plus
Today 11:46
After results, can't say it will never go past 10p, this is a huge turnaround with a lot of big institutions on board and they paid more than 10p. This is literally the bottom end, there will be some who sold out, good luck to them The rush last week at 7p was crazy and now you get a discounted price for waiting. Great price to average down

Nice to see BOD putting in £'s as looks good to the market. Question now is when will we as investors get our dividends as well as an increased SP?
If the cats keep taking theirs throughout the year then if nothing left for those that put their £'s

Very well written post and is how I see it now. Let's let the results do the talking. He has have a proven track record and will want the share price to rocket along with us shareholders

4.4m of options at a penny sounds more drastic than it actually is

Although I don’t know his salary I’m sure the biggest incentive when taking the role was what he could earn through options if he can successfully can turn Eve around. Essentially the options will cost him £44k and at 6.75p if he sold the lot which he can’t he’d pocket £253k but at 30p he’d pocket £1.276m so you can clearly see that he’s still heavily incentivised to create shareholder value for all.

I suspect he’ll accrue further options along the way too

It would have been good to see him purchase from the market to increase his personal holding beforehand but it is what it is.

To be fair he’s completed a review and created a forward strategy pretty quickly so one would hope that we’ll start to see some green shoots soon

I always get hacked off when people complain about salaries paid to board members of some of the large charities but they forget that the good charities are run like just like any other companies and need to offer market salaries to attract the best talent to bring creative thinking, drive revenue/donations etc - There has to be something in it for everyone

@Billthebank

The investors who just put in a fresh £10m would have approved the decision to issue this share option.

Woodford is the majority shareholder. This would not have happened without his approval. Also, the Chairman, who just put in £1m would have had to approve this.

So why would Woodford and the Chairman approve this?..... because it is an incentive. The CEO is now massively incentivized to raise the share price. A management team aligned with shareholder interest.

What more could we want?

You really think that is an incentive.Really?? He should be ashamed if himself for accepting it. It is a dreadful state if affairs. One minute asking key investors to invest in your company including fellow directors at a price if 10p and the giving the man in charge 4.4M I will repeat 4.4M shares payable over a gradual time period at 0.1p.FFS he doesn't even have to pay anything yet. It is so bad I am seriously considering exiting here and taking the loss as if this is considered a reasonable action then what else will he/they consider is ok!!!!

Had a fantastic and professional response to my issues regarding these stock options. My confidence in the turnaround being successful is hugely high now. Added a lot today

Yes is gutting for us that he has obtained the shares for such a nominal price, but on the flip side its an intensive for him to meet the targets and performance for the company. The market will get over it and once again see the potential gains here once again..
This will come up into the blue again today.

Perfectly normal for option to be at a nominal cost. They here is that they vest over 3 years, the CEO will only get them if he meets performance goals. If he loses his job before they vest... no shares

0.1p that is ridiculous. How can the company justify this? Basically this is just freeshares pretty much. Why when Lis have had to pay 10p that is 100 times more!!!! Holy Moly I can't imagined that our larger investors cannot be happy. Here gave an extra £250k on us!!! Not happy with this and hoping it is incorrect

thats what you get for offering success, freebie options, lol

typical Management with noses in troughs, bet the Institutional Investors at 10p wont be too pleased,

GLA unlless he can turn this Company into a huge profit in the next 6-12 months of say Net 20million plus then it wont be justified
