Some people that don't have any shares so worried about things here. Demir clearing off is the best news for ages. Clear path now to value recognition.
No way to know that as we don't know where any of the holes are. Would be easy to demonstrate potential if they actually published maps and sections of the results. Why don't they share these. A picture says a thousand words etc.
You're just saying these things, just like the chairman and roast dinner folks, without actually giving any support.
Demir walked. There is nothing huge here except the Conroy family's combined pay packet.
Exactly. There's way more than 500koz at Clontibret. There's years of drilling to be added and areas that haven't been drilled at all. If Demir had any credibility as a gold miner they would have been testing at depth too.
Clay Lake is huge. Wide intersections over huge area.
They're just scraping the surface.....500k ounce's,is just a small percentage of the licensing areas.
There's millions of ounces at Clay Lake - WRONG
Clontibret is going to be way more than 500koz - WRONG
Lots of drilling hasn't even been added to the JORC - WHY NOT? Until there is a long overdue resource update, investors can only base a decision on the published resource. Personally I think the reason there has not been a resource update is because the number would go down.
There's millions of ounces at Clay Lake. All close to surface and over large area. Clontibret is going to be way more than 500koz. Lots of drilling hasn't even been added to the JORC.
Robemy still pretending that Conroy ended the JV.
500k oz of low grade refractory gold is of no interest to any major. This project is nowhere close to being a mine. It didn't work in 2014 and it doesn't work now. Demir have shown that there is no exploration upside from €5m worth of exploration drilling. Conroy scraping the barrel with low grade zinc results ahead of a placing. This continues to be managed and presented dreadfully while the management draw fabulous salaries. You got there in the end PaulFG.
There's no big JV partner lined up anyone who thinks Demir would have walked away with a deal just to get its investment back if there was big money to be made here is seriously deluded they came up with an agreement to cut their losses simple as .
Big players want 5m+ JORCs to be involved, then again I guess DEMIR stepped in.
Things might be changing with the rising gold price I guess and the fact the major players haven't been exploring for a long time.
Time will tell...
500k JORC over a small part of just one deposit, gold price is still on an upward trend so very attractive and profitable to big players
I hope you guys are correct, but he has 500k jorc, not all indicated. I don't know who comes in as a JV partner to develop that - no one big for sure.
You wouldn’t terminate a JV unless you had something else lined up,
Agreed timing is key and the floor is in here, this traded at 40p 2 years ago was in the mid 20p's last year and hit 16p in January, all rises coming from basement levels when least expected also.
I just have a feeling the Prof has something lined up, if he has and it's a JV with a major the shares will fly, 40p-50p is a real possibility, who knows he may even be prepared to sell the entire project.
The current price is a no brainer entry point IMO, I have added recently.
I believe this is at the point now that he either gets a partner to mine the pit or people will abandon this. He's had decades of placements on the back of further exploration but has now pinned his colours to the mast and stated clearly he's ready & wants to mine. Why would anyone be willing to accept him going back to exploration and placements?
Buy now IF you see a future here. Ya don't buy everything where investors are fearful, without examining the cause of fear. How many junior resource stocks don't make it? I think it's about 80%
Fact is a major party walked - didn't try to get another major involved to replace them, or maybe they did I dunno know, pure conjecture.
ProfC's style is misleading - everything was great with Demir, but in reality we now know it wasn't, he was going for a mine by and of 2023 - turns out that was BS. These vague comments in interviews, is a style that irritates me at least and I don't believe what he's implying at this stage. And the fact that he thinks if he keeps talking and saying the same thing on repeat is simply not acceptable.
I would feel more encouraged if he took a backseat and allowed a GEO takeover, and I mean really take over not with the Prof sitting behind him monitoring.
For hundreds of years everyone has known Ireland has gold, but not great concentrated quantities - CGNR have discovered 2 gold trends but (and I've always said this) they need to drill deep to see if we do have commercial potential.
It's nonsense for him to continually reference Fosterville, it's meaningless, for them to justify that comment they have to drill deep, just like Fosterville.
Investing in AIM companies is all about timing. If you get it wrong, like some grumpy posters here, it’s painful. If you get it right then it can be life changing.
The time to buy is now, precisely while others are fearful - didn’t Warren Buffet say that?
Gold is about to hit new highs and the rising tide will lift the whole sector
Posters write here as if this has been going on for a year or two. Try 20.
Lining up the next 20 years of hope so the kids have an inheritance.
There is always the next believer with money willing to ignore the past that will keep this going. It will spin on, with retail investors as the losers.
Meanwhile, current retail investors take months or years to finally realise they bought a dud. FOMO or some other emotion I guess.
I think the prof holds a good hand. He's not rushing into anything. They are talking to people. An RNS lands saying potential JV or offer and it takes off.
LOL he seems far too smug to be finnished on 4 fronts now ,gold ,zinc, lead ,copper ,Ireland ,northern Ireland and Finland .......
then his other company
Possible emerging diamond province Kuhmo ,lahtojoki full mining permit coming this month add Northern Ireland
Nickle Copper platinum possible
Now looking like further success in Jipplia and Liprie copper and Diamonds
salla also
no wonder he is smug and all 100% owned prof and Maureen with all other board members non executive
if anyone things northern Ireland is too early they simply already know what they have imho ..
Honestly, I listened to the latest today and I just don't believe he's got any serious interest here and if there is any interest it's very early stage - I have been reducing my stake in the stock since the start of this year and seriously considering exiting the balance of my holding.
Well by the sounds of things you have a long time to wait. He's talking months. There is no deal lined up. Last time it took 18 months to close a JV deal. Next time will take even longer and if any deal at all it will be a far inferior deal to Demir.
Incredible that he is so happy and comfortable. He has presided over epic value destruction and doesn't seem to care. Presumably it's the €325k he and the missus earn each year working part time for CGNR that make it nice and comfortable for the Conroy clan.
I would imagine some of the larger shareholders here have long run out of patience with the share price. The company have to deliver a big re-rate soon or history wont judge them kindly. Who are sniffing here.....Newmont, Rio Tinto, Agnico Eagle, Boliden, Teck, Glencore, First Quantum, Lundin Mining.
I cant wait to find out who is coming in.
From that interview and one last week the Prof looks a very happy man, no way does he seem to rue the loss of Demir, I am rather surprised more are not buying the shares given their current depressed level, one whiff of any corporate action and you are talking multi bags in value add.
"More people are coming to us than the other way round"
If someone wants to put down a good offer I'd take it. It would need to be a very good offer though. They're going to look at all options.
Reading between the lines…Sounds to me from todays interview, like they may sell to the highest bidder rather than JV now. That would be the smart move and what shareholders want I expect
