Avrohom: I'm not an academic - merely educated academically to Masters level - no big deal these days when your average mushroom has a Bachelor's degree - but in the 70's (my vintage) it really was quite a marker.

One thing I can emphatically assure you of - this individual would rather have a chimpanzee as PM than Corbyn (though many might construct a strong case to postulate there's not much difference?).

IMO

RXDAV,

Sorry I dont really have such strong opinions about Brexit I was just trying to join in and make things more livelier.

I did only say most as IMO you are one of the more intelligent ones on here (that clearly put you in the minority).

I would not boast about being an academic. Most academics want Corbyn as our next PM !!!

Rx-div - haha your “majority rule” comment says it all, don’t you understand democracy? You’re describing a tyranny. The majority don’t rule over the minority, the majority earn executive rights in a parliament. Can you think of any examples where the majority government haven’t ruled ?

Avrohom: Interesting but un-evidenced argument that has been persisting - it you voted to leave you must be thick - but if you voted to remain you must be intelligent - that seems the core of your post? It's bollocks of course but undoubtedly makes you feel superior - maybe you need that kind of reassurance? I'm educated to Masters level (academically) and want to leave - so how does that fit into your equation?

Fortunately, if makes not one iota of difference - as we still have majority rule - and the majority (irrespective of their level of education) want out - end of.

IMO

In talking to others I have come to the conclusion that very few people voted Brexit from an informed perspective.

Most voted because they are racist and anti immigration. Others because they are anti establishment. Very few considered the economic impact.

The vast majority of the intelligent people who have really thought the issues through voted to remain.

Interestingly look at the comments on here you will see that the majority of the unintelligent comments are made by die hard Brexiters.
