Star Energy Group PLC23 February 2006 Thursday 23 February 2006 Star Energy Group plc("Star Energy") As anticipated, Star Energy's planning application to build a gas storagefacility at Welton in Lincolnshire was "minded to be refused" yesterday byLincolnshire County Council's planning committee. This is in contradiction tothe Council's Planning Officers' report which recommended approval of theproject. The fact that the L.C.C's Planning Officers' report recommended approval of theproject provides the company with solid grounds for appeal. Star Energy plan toappeal the decision to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister as rapidly aspossible.
