HALMA p.l.c.TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Halma p.l.c. announces that on 23 December 2009 it transferred 12,808 ordinary shares, held by the Company in Treasury, to an employee of the Halma Group in satisfaction of awards which vested in accordance with the Rules of the Company's Performance Share Plan.

Following the above transfer, the Company holds 1,130,036 ordinary shares in Treasury. The total number of ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares) is 376,403,781.
