Treasury Shares
The Company announces that on 24 September 2008 it transferred to participants in its 2005 Sharesave scheme 7,610 ordinary shares at £2.24 and to participants in its 2006 Sharesave scheme 2,947 ordinary shares at £3.88. These shares were previously held as treasury shares.
Following the above transactions, the Company holds 427,426 ordinary shares in Treasury, and has 649,219,766 ordinary shares in issue (excluding Treasury shares).
