Treasury shares

On 21 October 2016, the Company transferred a total of 4,471 shares as follows:

· 3,216 ordinary shares at £2.72 per share to a participant in its 2013 Sharesave Scheme;

· 951 ordinary shares at £3.02 per share to a participant in its 2014 Sharesave Scheme; and

· 304 ordinary shares at £4.52 per share to a participant in its 2015 Sharesave Scheme.

These shares were previously held as treasury shares.

Following the above transactions, the Company holds 11,900,029 ordinary shares in treasury, and has 652,636,977 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
