Avocet Mining PLC ("Avocet" or the "Company")

Exercise of options satisfied by treasury shares

Avocet announces that the Company has today issued 100,000 ordinary shares of 5 pence each ('Ordinary Shares') out of treasury shares to satisfy the exercise of share options. The Company now holds 660,000 Ordinary Shares in treasury representing 0.55 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.
