Clarification on Transfer of GDRs to the EFG-Hermes Employee Trust

Further to the announcement by the Egyptian Stock Exchange yesterday that EFG-Hermes Holding Company is selling GDRs, please note that the said transaction pertains to the transfer of the GDRs to the EFG-Hermes Employee Trust in line with EFG-Hermes Holding Company’s General Assembly approval dated 23rd November 2005 approving the transfer of up to 2% of the Company’s shares per annum to the Trust for five years at the average cost of acquisition plus the carry.
