Marks and Spencer Group plc ("Marks & Spencer") announces today that it has purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of 25 pence each on the London Stock Exchange from Citigroup Global Markets Limited. Such purchase was effected pursuant to irrevocable instructions issued by Marks & Spencer on 4 December 2015, as announced on 4 December 2015:

Date of purchase: 11 December 2015

Number of ordinary shares purchased: 185,000

Price per share: 465.10p

Marks & Spencer intends to cancel the purchased shares.
