Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on 8 April 2009 it purchased 750,000 ordinary shares of 10p each in the Company at a price of 24.0 pence per share ("Ordinary Shares"). These shares will be held in Treasury. This purchase equates to approximately 1.30 per cent of the Company's issued share capital.

Following the purchase, the Company holds 750,000 of its Ordinary Shares in Treasury and has a total of 56,832,328 Ordinary Shares with voting rights (excluding shares held in Treasury) in issue.
