Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 17 July 2012 it purchased 30,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 89.0884 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 89.25 and 87.50 pence respectively. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 197,500 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,968,434 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
