Mwana Africa PLC02 February 2007 Transactions in own shares. Mwana Africa PLC announces that on 2 February 2007 it purchased from JPMorganCazenove Limited 200,000 ordinary shares at an average price of 39.7980 penceper share. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following theabove purchase, Mwana Africa PLC holds 490,000 ordinary shares in treasury, andhas 248,680,654 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares).
