JPMORGAN AMERICAN INVESTMENT TRUST PLC

REPURCHASE OF ORDINARY SHARES INTO TREASURY

JPMorgan American Investment Trust plc has today purchased 114,625 ordinary shares into Treasury at 333.68 pence per share.

Following the transaction the Company holds 20,347,216 ordinary shares in Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares is 261,286,694. The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a premium to net asset value.
