Mwana Africa PLC announces that on 7 February 2007 it purchased from JPMorganCazenove Limited 6,600 ordinary shares at an average price of 39.5 pence pershare. The purchased shares will be held as treasury shares. Following the abovepurchase, Mwana Africa PLC holds 2,626,600 ordinary shares in treasury, and has246,544,054 ordinary shares in issue (excluding treasury shares ).
