Transaction in Own Shares

Central Asia Metals plc (AIM:CAML), announces that on 29 August 2012 it purchased 17,000 of its ordinary shares at an average price of 95 pence per ordinary share. The highest price and the lowest price paid for these shares was 95 pence. All the purchased shares will be held as Treasury shares.

Following the above purchase, the Company holds 572,438 ordinary shares as Treasury shares. The total number of ordinary shares in issue is 85,593,496 (excluding ordinary shares held as treasury shares).
