Close Technology & General VCT PLC25 April 2008 CLOSE TECHNOLOGY & GENERAL VCT PLC SHARE PURCHASE, VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL Close Technology & General VCT PLC announces that it purchased 172,000 Ordinaryshares at a price of 99.5 pence per share and 14,796 C shares at a price of 85.0pence per share on 25 April 2008. The Ordinary shares purchased represent 0.35%of the total number of voting rights in the Company before the transaction andthe C shares purchased represent 0.03% of the total number of voting rights inthe Company before the transaction. These shares will be held in treasury. Following this transaction, and, in conformity with the Transparency Directive'stransitional provision 6 we would like to notify the market of the following; Close Technology & General VCT PLC's today consists of 13,591,015 Ordinaryshares and 35,479,122, both with a nominal value of 50p each, with votingrights. The Company holds 445,473 Ordinary shares and 14,796 C shares inTreasury. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Close Technology & General VCTPLC is 48,609,868.
