Transaction in own shares

The Company announces that on the 7 May 2014 it purchased 650,000 ordinary shares of 1 penny each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') at a price of 125 pence per Ordinary Share. The Ordinary Shares will be held in Treasury. Following the above purchase the Company holds 2,610,000 Ordinary Shares in Treasury. The purchase equates to approximately 0.6% of the issued share capital of the Company.

The Company's issued share capital consists of 118,935,590 Ordinary Shares. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 116,325,590.

The figure of 116,325,590 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
