Bank of Ireland(Governor&Co)01 February 2008 Bank of Ireland Group (The Governor and Company of the Bank of Ireland) Total Voting Rights In conformity with Regulation 20 of the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC)Regulations 2007, the issued share capital (with voting rights) of Bank ofIreland as at 31 January 2008 consists of 999,995,055 units of Ordinary Stock ofnominal value €0.64 each. Bank of Ireland also holds 26,218,832 units ofOrdinary Stock in treasury, which do not carry voting rights. The figure which should be used by stockholders as the denominator for thecalculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify theirinterest in, or a change to their interest in, Bank of Ireland under theTransparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007 is, therefore,999,995,055. 1 February 2008 Ends.
