In conformity with the Financial Services Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company would like to notify the market that as at 30 April 2010, the issued ordinary share capital of Max Petroleum consisted of 439,424,830 ordinary shares with voting rights attached (one vote per ordinary share). There are no ordinary shares held in Treasury.

The above total voting rights figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine whether they are required to notify their interests in, or a change to their interest in, Max Petroleum under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
