Total Voting Rights Update

Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that following the recent Transactions in Own Shares (as announced on 14th and 30th September 2010) the total issued share capital consists of 132,956,736 Ordinary Shares with the same number of total voting rights.

Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
