Total Voting Rights Update

Aberdeen Private Equity Fund Limited (the "Company") announces that, following the Transactions in Own Shares announced on 1 and 6 August 2012, the total voting rights in respect of the Company are now 109,131,199.

Accordingly, the current issued share capital consists of 109,131,199 Sterling Shares with voting rights. Shareholders may use this figure as the denominator for the calculations by which they determine whether they are required to notify their interest, or a change to their interest, in the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
