22 December 2006 AMTEUS PLC (the "Company") TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS AND SHARE CAPITAL

In accordance with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, the Company notifies the market that its share capital is made up of 34,474,578 ordinary shares of 10p each, with each share carrying the right to one vote. None of these ordinary shares are held in treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company is 34,474,578.

The above figure (as maybe updated by future announcements) should be used by shareholders when calculating whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
