Max Petroleum PLC06 September 2007 Max Petroleum Plc (the "Company") Suspension of Trading 6 September 2007 The Company announces today that the trading of its ordinary shares on theAlternative Investment Market has been temporarily suspended pending resultsfrom the internal investigation involving its Chief Executive Officer, SteveKappelle, and Chief Operating Officer, Ole Udsen that it announced earliertoday. In the interim, the Company's Executive Chairman, Jim Jeffs, together with theother members of the Board and the senior management have taken on additionalresponsibilities for those matters previously carried out by Steve Kappelle andOle Udsen.
