AEC Education plc12 April 2006 For immediate release Stock Exchange Announcement 12th April 2006 AEC Education PLC ("the Company") The Directors of AEC have noted the movement in the Company's share price todayand confirm they have received a tentative approach from a third party inrespect of a possible reverse of that business into AEC as defined in the AIMRules and that such transaction may require a "whitewash" for the purposes ofthe City Code on Takeovers and Mergers. The Directors stress there can be no guarantee whatsoever that any proposedtransaction will be successfully concluded.
