Scrip Dividend Scheme

Following approval at the Company's annual general meeting held on 15 July 2009, the Company is offering shareholders the opportunity to take new ordinary shares in the Company, credited as fully paid, in lieu of cash dividends, by participating in a Scrip Dividend Scheme.

In relation to the final dividend for the financial year ended 31 March 2009, the price of a new ordinary share under the Scrip Dividend Scheme has been set at 433.25 pence. This is the average of the Company's middle market quotations for the Company's ordinary shares for the five business days commencing on the ex-dividend date of 15 July 2009.

Mandate forms must be received by the Company's registrars, Equiniti, by no later that 5:00 pm on 31 July 2009 in order for elections under the Scrip Dividend Scheme to be effective in relation to this year's final dividend.

The payment date in respect of this year's final dividend is 21 August 2009.
