KAKUZI LIMITED

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2010

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Regulation 19 of the Capital Markets Authority Regulations and the Fifth Schedule, Continuing obligations, that Kakuzi Limited has received a claim for repayment of Kshs109 million from Del Monte Kenya Limited (DMKL) following the discovery of an alleged error made by DMKL in calculating the sale price of pineapples for the joint venture between Kakuzi Limited and DMKL for the years 2007 and 2008.

The Board of Kakuzi Limited is currently reviewing the claim and will make a further announcement when the matter is resolved.
