Tecteon PLC24 November 2006 TECTEON PLC Enhanced Acoustic Shock Limiter + Adaptive Noise Canceller Tecteon Plc, ("Tecteon" or "the Company") the developer of DSP (Digital SignalProcessing) software and hardware for audio speech enhancement and hearingprotection technologies is pleased to demonstrate its enhanced acoustic shocklimiter technology at the Acoustic Safety Programme (ASP) conference at SECC inGlasgow during 27 & 28 November 2006. The new solution has been further enhanced by adding a fully adaptive digitalnoise canceller to its existing superior noise monitoring and acoustic shocklimiter technologies. The adaptive noise canceller on the receive side willenhance the hearing experience of all call centre employees. This couldconsequently minimise the use of excessive volume levels required by the callcentre employees, hence less exposure to high levels of received sounds. Thiswill help to reduce the total exposure level over an 8 hour shift (defined bythe European Noise Directive) even further. Masoud Ahmadi, Managing Director commented: "I am pleased to announce a further enhancement to our acoustic shock limiter, hence the increased protection that it offers to call centre employees byreducing one of the sources of the problem. The new solution will drasticallylessen the need and use of high volumes in the call centre. By successfully reducing received noise levels it would consequently reduce thelistening-effort which ultimately is a reduction in fatigue and tiredness."
